I am thinking of ordering them with all of the great reviews.  How do you get that cream sauce they keep showing?

It's easy to make your own. Just google recipe for lemon dill sauce. Much cheaper to make your own.

"Easy Lemon Dill Sauce
Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 0 minutes Yield: About 3/4 cup 1x
This lemon dill sauce is quick and easy! It takes just 5 minutes to stir together and is perfect on salmon or as a dip for veggies.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons finely chopped dill
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
6 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons water

Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients, adding the water last. Use the water to bring it to a loose, drizzle-able consistency. (You may need a touch more depending on your yogurt brand.) Enjoy immediately or store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

I love Whole Foods' salmon. Their sourcing is great and you can taste it. It's absolutely delicious.

@BlueFinch

Yep they're farmed...BUT as your post points out, they are still better than store bought or probably most farmed fish that is NOT raised as close as possible to nature as these are..( ie: stagnant  overcrowded landlocked pools and ponds).

That being said..in many places you can't go to the local stores and buy "wild caught" salmon, so I buy this.

It's VERY good if you haven't tried it.

I'd like to eat only Japanese Waygu beef too...I hear it's the best...but I can't get that either, so I buy the best quality ground beef I can find for burgers, which I eat very infrequently.

I suppose I could order wild caught salmon from a mail order vendor, but so far have not, because these are very good!

Funny story....Our local ALDI( Of all places!!!) carrried, and  may still, wild caught red salmon from Canadian waters ( according to the packaging which I checked before I bought...)

The pieces were 4 oz, individually wrapped, but were what QVC showed as the tail and head end of the slab...the "little" pieces. Who cares? It's still the same salmon meat!!!

I bought several bags. The flesh was dark red. The taste was excellent.

I used one 4 OZ piece with two jumbo eggs to make lunch for myself.

Gonna look next time I'm in ALDI to see if they have them again. They were in the frozen food upright freezers where they sell frozen raw shrimp in bags. Check it out!! It was GOOD!!!

Geeat tip for the younger generation. Many of whom overpay for premade items in a jar needlessly.  Rastelli was overcharging for the sauces and did not provide nutritional facts on the QVC website, it was an easy pass for me.

@Reever you never miss the opportunity to take a jab at the younger generation do you? Could you have just said "great tip"? I don't think this dill sauce recipe is age specific.

Ask your local buther where their Salmon comes from.  My local butcher sources his salmon from the Faroe Islands.  The fact that QVC is selling something from the Faroe Islands is not a big deal. The cost locally is so much lower than what QVC is selling.  I have have my fillet sliced to my liking and freeze.

When you look at the pics that they show during the shows - the salmon are essentially farm raised in the ocean.

David just said they're an extraordinary price.  $10 off the regular QVC price isn't that great a deal.  Maybe with the free shipping though.

I pay $89 for the same order.  The price goes up each time they show them.  And you always get free shipping on food.

QVC is very good on issuing refunds for food, so try it. The best Salmon I've had was wild caught in Seattle.  You go down to the docks & buy fillets. Problem is I don't live there.

I just air fried some of the salmon fillets.  My, my....delicious.  Maybe if I wanted to hunt around I could have gotten it cheaper but for the convenience of ordering from QVC, I'm good.  It came well secured in one of those styrofoam containers and the salmon was frozen rock solid.  Glad I chose auto delivery.

I also ordered the lemon dill sauce but although it is delicious, I can't justify buying those little bottles again.
