@Kitty Galore   Unfortunately alligators are skinned alive while strung up to provide skin for some of the world's most haute couture expensive bags.  I've seen the videos and I wish I could unsee them....horrific

@phoenixbrd , I know what you mean about wishing you could unsee some things.  Many years ago, I was very involved in an AR group locally.  There were quite a lot of us who did what they called outreach tables in malls, etc.  In order to know what we were talking about, we needed to educate ourselves and watch some horrific things in order to really know.

That was a time in my life when I began to quit eating meat.  Yes, it was difficult and I still haven't stopped all of it as I am a pescatarian, though don't eat it every day.  I no longer carry a leather handbag nor buy leather shoes.  Do I have them?  Yes, from years ago; however, rarely wear them.

I keep running across a tv channel where there are alligator hunters hunting alligators.  Seems like whenever I pass that channel.  Maybe all day/night long?

Anyway, I wish that program would 'go away'.  

With all of the hunting they do, why isn't there a protection law for alligators?  There couldn't be THAT many alligators at the place where those hunters continuiously hunt and film.
