TSV Oct. 29th Duraflame Stove Heater 3D Flame Effect - Ugly

I was waiting to get one of these little fireplace stoves because I have two from other years, and love them. The ambiance of the flames is why I buy them. But this TSV I find very ugly. The front where it lights up looks like to headlights of orange! Very faint flame effect in back. The ones I have are pretty with a nice flame. I am passing on this one. I wish they would leave a good thing alone. Is it me or does anyone else think this stove looks awful?

I just watche the video this morning, and I

also have the older models. I found this video totally useless and not providing information I needed. I personally like to see the functions visible, rather than having to open the door every time to access and view the controls. Shawn never got to providing details, instead filling the air with useless drivel. Are there varying flame options as before...we never saw them. How was the remote upgraded?  Whomever is hosting please let the vendor speak. I loathe the long, drawn out presentation, romancing the item rathe than getting to the features.

If you can, I would wait until Black Friday sales to purchase a stove flame heater.  I was just looking through some Black Friday sales circulars online like BJs etc., and they have various brands and types of heater stoves on sale at much better prices.

I found them to be smaller yet still found attractive and purchased the blue color. I have the older ones too in several of colors  also found in this line. I have used these in rentals and now have a large home I definitely could use more in. The heat factor is a sale for me and having fun decorating new space

I agree.  The logs look like headlights.  I don't care for controls smack dab on the front.  It's not like anyone's going to fool someone into thinking this is a "real" fireplace, but at least let it sort of look like one.  lol  At least they put the heating element at the bottom. I've never understood the heating portion being in the top area of some of these.  Personally, I'm not a fan of infrared and have fan-forced electric fireplaces.

Ainhisg, big orange headlights! Exactly! And I agree about not wanting any heater near the window or a Duraflame name in silver which this one has. Thank you for the suggestion of looking in BJ's. I live in a big home and do have a real fireplace. But don't want to burn wood. So I wanted to get an Ivory/Cream one and a Black. At night I sit in the living room and put on my little red fireplace. Cozy

@SugarGlider The remote has a magnet in it now to keep it on the heater so you don't lose it.  That's the upgrade.

They went on and on about it last night at midnight. They are giving credit to Shawn for "inventing" it.

Shawn told the vendor last year that she glued magnets to her remotes at home. The vendor went back to Duraflame and had them put magnets in it.

I have 5 of the older versions. don't like this one with function window showing (prefer behind the door), the logs look awful. don't like the gray brick background. I keep the remote on my coffee table; don't want to have to get up to go to the heater to retrieve/use the remote. I also don't like the sides being 'open'. so, nope, no sale.

Re: TSV Oct. 29th Duraflame Stove Heater 3D Flame Effect - Ugly

I love the stove heater and bought black. I have 4 other Duraflame stove heaters from previous years and love them. I don't have black though. This one will sit up on the hearth in front of my gas fireplace. Even with ceremic logs, my gas fireplace gives off minimal heat. I know that Duraflame stove heaters do everything they claim. It's a brand I know and trust.  .69 an hour to run my gas fireplace vs .25 an hour to run the Duraflame. About a $40 savings per month. The Duraflame will pay for itself in 4 months.  I am so happy that QVC offered it this year.
