TSV La-Z-Boy Chair

[ Edited ]

We ordered a new La-Z-Boy couch in the material of the chair they are showing as the TSV.  Not the power couch but the same material. I love the material that our new couch is. It will be delivered in a few weeks. Our La-Z-Boy couch is 11 years old and still looks new except where my husband sits. That is pretty flat now.

The large couch with recliners on each end was $1200.00 with tax. The matching chair was also on sale cheaper than the TSV chair. Our new couch is the same design as the TSV and very comfortable. We have three La-Z-Boy chairs of this material that we have had since 2009 that look almost like new.

We looked around for recliners but none matches the quality and price of our furniture from La-Z-Boy. I like to sit on what I buy first.

We have a large La-Z-Boy store about 25 miles from us. The chairs were more reasonable in the stores when on sale than at QVC.

Just my opinion.

I have a La-Z-Boy couch that is 15 years old that looks like new.  People only sit on it when we have company since my husband uses his La-Z-Boy recliner and I use another comfy chair with a footstool.   The recliner I bought at the La-Z-Boy store near us a couple years ago on sale plus the sales person threw in another discount.  I remember the delivery guys drove from their warehouse in Chicago four hours away and were so nice.

I love the La-Z-Boys that we have in our home. We just bought an office chair of theirs.

There are nights when I can not sleep and I go to the La-Z-Boy and I do get some sleep.

I might be a bit prejudice as I grew up with La-Z-Boys. (my father was a rep for them for close to 45 yrs--he has passed but the chairs still make me happy).

My mother goes to the La-Z-Boy chair at her condo and it is an electric one as it is very comfortable for her.

We got 2 Lazy Boy recliners last September for under $800 which are larger and an upgraded fabric (and delivery which was about $50 or $60).  Lazy Boy sells recliners that are small to oversized and these are definitely on the small size.  The width is 36 inches from arm to arm (which includes your seating area).  My husbands recliner is 46 inches in width.  We were shopping for recliners in March and went to Lazy Boy because we had gotten such a good deal and such a nice recliner months prior but they were more like $600 and we didn't want to spend that much.  We ended up at Ashley and got a really nice (and just as large) recliner for under $400 and matches perfectly with our new sectional (which was a big deal for me).  The TSV isn't a bargain, if you go to Lazy Boy, especially during a sale, you can get a better price.

Our sofa and love seat are La-Z-Boy. The quality is great and their products hold up.
However, I wouldn't buy from QVC. Better selection and prices locally.

for those that have a remote or power la-z-boy recliner is it possible for the back to remain upright while raising the leg area. I previously bought a power recliner from qvc and I was unable to raise the leg area without the back reclining. I need to raise my legs while watching tv but if the back goes back I can't see the tv. thx

I'd also be curious for those that have anything from them in this fabric. Does it feel like soft like suede or more like leather? Additionally for those with pets (in particular cats), is there any issue with puncture holes from nails or scratching?  I have had leather and it was a disaster with tiny holes throughout from my naughty cats.

@gjv I have this exact fabric in a sample I requested from their site. It is exactly like the fabric we have on La-Z-Boy we bought in 2009. The feel is like suede and does not like a leather at all. It has a suede texture only. This is on the new swatch recently exactly as we have coming from La-Z-Boy the end of this month. The color I ordered was mushroom but it shows darker than it is on their site. We have a shade lighter in our furniture now and the mushroom color is a beautiful color.

If you go on their site (not QVC) you can get a free sample of a color you are considering. I put water on it and it wipes right off. We had a dog that liked to scratch into our couch and we never had a rip or cut anywhere. Our dog passed in January and we miss her playing on the couch. She was the sweetest Shih-Tzu and got away with more than our kids growing up. Smiley Happy

I love Lazy-Boy and many other recliners.

As long as the back is high enough to support my head.

Some recliners I've seen are too low in the back, and don't support the head when in recline mode.  Important for taller folks, too.

Enjoy your recliners!   Wonderful invention.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I ordered a sofa at the Lazy Boy store in my city last week. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Had I not just wanted to get something ordered so I’d have it before Christmas, I would have gone somewhere else. It has a lead time of 11 to 14 weeks.
