Thanks for posting ! I just posted on another thread that the coat is showing on the Deals page and it's marked down from $91 to $44 and there is a 3.3 rating from over 150 reviews. It's a no for me and I'm not good at posting pics so I was waiting for your post.

Well, I can find two problems with this jacket, and one plus, in that at least it has a hood, a requirement for a coat in the PNW.  But it's too short, your tukus is going to get wet in the rain, and the quilted side is only water-resistant, so after a short period of time, your whole body would be wet.  Easy pass from this webfooted Pacific Northwesterner.

This is not my vibe.  Sometimes, I wish they'd have more interesting and innovative TSVs.

Most of the time, TSVs are like zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Alllll the vacuuming and allll the jackets and alllll the lounge wear.

It just. gets. boring.

Re: Susan Graver TSV - October 7, 2024

Well, I decided to purchase the TSV because the price is very reasonable, and I heard them say the quilted side is water resistant.

That means the jacket would be good on a cool light rainy day in Fall or Spring. Maybe I will wear it for my apple and pumpkin picking (ha-ha)!

I differentiate between jackets and coats--a jacket usually fits shorter, and is great with pants.  I wear my jackets more casually as well.  I do not expect jackets to ever be as warm as coats.

The best Winter coats I have ever bought on the Q are from Dennis Basso fake fur--warm, warm, warm--I have worn them well in negative 10 degree weather.

This is a nice jacket that should wash and wear well.  I have a pure wool, a pure cashmere, and an alpaca coat, and all of them must be dry cleaned. Thus,  they are relegated to dress-up occasions only, and I have to avoid wearing them with my pets--YAY for polyester!

Re: Susan Graver TSV - October 7, 2024

So disapointing!  Susan used to do such good jackets. I remember a quilted puffer winter jacket with an inner fleece half vest and it had a removeable hood.  It was sooooo nice, arrr the good old days.  I haven't seen a decent outer jacket from her since that one.  I was so hopeful this year she'd come out with another jacket like that one. Looks like the wait continues, maybe next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These were called "car coats" back in the day.  I don't agree with SG that they are young looking.  They look very dated to me.  The colors are not appealing either.
