I would have no use for a dress like this.

However, I have MANY lovely Stan Herman lounge sets that are years old and still look and launder great.

It certainly does not look like caftans I have ever had.

I bought 2 of these, basically to wear as a swimsuit cover-up. I am going to be 65 in June and I am self-conscious about my body. I live by the beach and would like to go sit there this summer. I liked the length and especially it has a little sleeve.

I will also wear this around the house, after a shower.

I bought one for my sister,  she has a birthday coming up.  She's always feels hot.  I thought this would be good for her to throw on after a shower or lounging around in the house.  I got the petite in the aqua palm,  it's all cotton.  I think she'll like it.  She hates wearing a bra so this will camoglauge that too

I think of Stan's TSV as a cross between a caftan and a nightgown. I'm getting one to wear post-shower while I'm doing my hair and make-up.  I love having something 100% cotton and breathable, particularly in the summer.

BTW, I didn't realize Stan is 95 years old!  What a charmer and he still looks great!

Those that bought it to wear after a shower or around the house/on the deck/beach coverup nailed it.  Love that it's cotton.  I wouldn't wear it out either.

That looks like a big, frumpy, shapeless nightgown. There is absolutely nothing appealing about this to me. Even if I wanted a nightgown, there are much cuter ones out there. I would not want to be caught wearing this outside.

@bestday For me, I would wear something like this at home, yard and mailbox, but never one of those old silky type, brightly colored caftans that women used to wear around with jewelry and such at a patio party.  Would never wear one of those.

I bought one to wear around the house, after a shower, etc. Garments in 100-percent cotton are so hard to find these days. And I love cotton.

I must say these gowns looked cute on the hosts and models. But since the fabric on most of them is predominantly white one has to wonder what sort of undergarments the girls were wearing to prevent see-through. With these sorts of gowns I wouldn't want to be wearing lots of undergarments on a hot day. Call me a fuddy duddy, but for me that pretty much precludes wearing them out of the house on a bright sunny day.

I noticed the presentations didn't mention the thickness of the fabric.

Or whether it was preshrunk to prevent heavy shrinkage of the 100-percent cotton.

I guess I'll see.

Incredible that Stan is in his 90s. What a charming, witty guy!

I was thrilled to see a 100% cotton item from Stan.  The only thing that would have made it better would be if it had been a classic 100% cotton Stan chenille zip robe.  Purchased the aqua palm.  I will wear around the house and on the deck.  Hope the quality is there and it is not see thru.

On a separate note...it drives me crazy when they say "this is not QVC sizing, it is Stan Herman ( or whomever) sizing".   What does that mean?  I do look at the garment measurements and decide by that but while I always wear a large, in this item I purchased a medium based on garment measurements.   I would feel better if they would say...runs smaller or larger than QVC sizing.

When I checked my order this morning I saw that it is Backordered. In other words I'll probably get someone's return. Oh well. I cancelled it.
