Thank you all for the feedback. Because it was pretty well split between the "love it" and "hate it" I didn't decide until about five minutes ago to give it a try. I ordered the blue; I am cautiously optimistic that i will like it as much as others who like their Rowenta.

I agree with the posters who said to make sure it's made in Germany.  I have a Rowenta (about 6 or 7 years old now I think).  I was surprised when I first went looking for one to replace a previous Rowenta that a number of them were made in China.

 

No way was I having that (especially for the price), so I waited until I found one made in Germany.  I noticed the TSV is, as well.   I don't need a second iron or I'd have bought the TSV!
