Recent anybody tsv, plastic sewn in stitching this time?

I have other anybody joggers that I love and wear all the time (petite size). They all have held up very well.  I noticed on the tsv pair,  there is now a type of plastic sewn in the interior seams (crotch seam of both and around the bottom band of jogger seams) This is new, and I'm worried about how these will hold up. Should I be concerned? I do love the fit, but worry about the quality of the new set.

I didn't purchase the TSV but had a similar experience with a ruffled lounge set I recently purchased.  I like the set and the fabric itself is very soft. But I kept getting poked in shoulder area near the seam.  I realized there is something that is almost like fishing wire sewn in there. I can feel it every time I wear the top. Ouch.

@Tag2020.  8t could be a material put in the seam to keep them from stretching out.

I guess the only way you'll know is to wear them and see how they do over time.

I even worry about plastic sewn in seams for those of us with sensitive skin.  I've never seen this in any of my clothing before, especially in the crotch area?

@Tag2020

Considering the cost of clothing, I think we got a good deal for 2 pairs of casual pants.  When I was a teen over 50 years ago, I went through a sewing phase with my Singer sewing machine, buying clothing patterns, fabric, and thread.  I remember elastic thread was commonly available and used, at least it was back in the day. I am not concerned about the quality, it's kind of a get what you paid for situation, IMO.

thanks for mentioning this.  my skin is crazy sensitive and I know without a doubt I couldn't stand plastic in the seam.  Also a very long time sewer.  One of the reasons I like to buy clothes in person I turn them inside out and check how they are made. I think I would be shocked to see plastic sewn in a seam.

@Tag2020It's called Framilon, a polyurethane spandex tape run through when the edges are serged together.

I bought the choc/blue combo in small tall. They were HUGE on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I mean HUGE!!!!

I was really excited to have the choc ones and liked the shade of blue on the others however, they're both back in the mail already to return.

I didn't at all notice the nylon threads used to stich these together but I do know every once in a while I'll end up with something that was sewn together with nylon thread. I don't like this because you can sometimes feel it on the skin and it is annoying, itchy, scratchy.

I really wanted to keep these, totally diappointed in the size the small were.

I did not even notice.  I wore a pair to Yoga Tuesday. Never felt any discomfort. I would assume it is to stabilize the seam. I just looked at the seam. I laundered them before wearing and they washed up well.

Tags are more annoying. I had on a pair or Breezes cotton briefs and when I was walking in yesterday afternoon there was a tag picking at me.  Who puts A tag in underwear? Sometimes tops can have one that picks me on the side seem.
