Why are they saying no advanced order on the tsv if they are taking waitlist orders?

Are the waitlist orders not going to be filled?  If so, why waitlist it?  Woman FrustratedConfused.

my guess would be....the waitlist will be air fryers that get returned because the person didn't like it...or people who put it on check order and never paid for it...or have it in their shopping cart and never complete the order....

Check order makes sense and so does leaving it in the cart, but it's illegal to send a return out as new - once the box is open, that's it! (Like driving a your new car off the lot, it just lost value.)  I just can't imagine having a large enough number though...

I had ordered the eggplant on waitlist - that's why I was concerned.  So, called C/S and the rep was very nice.  She explained that they put it on waitlist if they run out and are trying to get more in - no guarantee, but, will try to get add'l from vendor within 45 days.  When something is on advanced order they have a guarantee that they can get more in.  Makes sense to me now!

I would think orders on Waitlist would get filled by the people that have buyers remose and cancel their orders before they get to processing/shipping.

Ps.  I admit I have done that before.

WIth advanced orders, you will definitely receive the item and by a specified date. I think whatever company is offering the product makes a supply specifically to fill the advanced orders.

With waitlist orders, you'll receive the order only if the item comes back into QVCs normal stock and within 45 days. In my 10+ years of shopping at QVC, only one waitlist order was cancelled because it didn't come back in stock within the 45 days.

Thanx. you've eased my mind; figure this things ir selling like hotcakes (the rep told me they're selling at lot) so, would assume they're gonna get more from the vendor!

People order, then cancel.  Also checks don't clear, accounts are closed, etc.

They will never sell you a cooking product that was used & returned ... it is against health regulations .... I believe people order an item & while it is still "processing" they change their mind & cancel which creates additional new stock that can fill the waitlist orders .... also, people who pay by check never send in the check & the product becomes available to those on waitlist.

@January121  While it probably IS against health regulations, you will never convince me that these practices don't happen.

For me, waitlist = returned item from someone at full price as new.

No one in returns cares if the item has been used.  They just repackage and out the door it goes again.  This I know to be true.
