I have never had a bone bag. Is it hard to keep clean?

I don't think so in the pebble leather. I'm a sucker for the bone/almond color and I think it's better if the leather has some texture in the very light color.  I don't baby my bags so if it's smooth leather than it needs to be quilted , pleated or something for my needs.  The bone caught my eye this am. It's so difficult to find this color.

No, Dooney's pebble leather is extremely easy to clean and care for. If you are interested in a white bag, this is the way to go.

I agree with others.  Pebble leather is easy to care for.  I have a Dooney bone bag with the same color trim as the TSV. I purchased it five years ago and haven't had one problem keeping it clean.  I juat use a damp cloth with a smidge of Dawn and it works perfectly.
