Question about today's Blue Clean power washer...

I have a composite deck and would love to be able to pressure wash it. However, the manufacturer of the decking says you can't power wash above 1500 PSI. This TSV is 1600. Does anyone know if by using the fan nozzle or stepping further back I can lessen the PSI a bit so it is safe to use?
