I use and swear by AP24 by NuSkin.  It's a whitening fluoride toothpaste.  It has a pleasant taste and it starts to whiten in just 4 days.  The difference in my teeth was remarkable.

I had a metal retainer on my bottom teeth for so many years, I'm embarrassed to admit it.   I finally got it removed, and from the metal being around 2 of my bottom teeth for so long, they were visibly discolored.  I started to use the AP24 and within 4 days, the discoloration is completely gone.

It's not cheap but to me it's well worth it.  I've tried whitening pens and they've done nothing and I've tried other whitening toothpastes and they've done virtually nothing and so many of them have a gross taste.   White strips made my teeth too sensitive and I hated the taste of those too and the slimy feel.

Hi LD.  Doesn't that have "silica" in it though?  I had a friend who used it, and I thought I saw it contained silica.  Is that what the Supersmile guy says peels off enamel?   I have had ZOOM 3 times over the course of many years.  My teeth are pretty white, but I like them to stay white.  I'm always looking for a toothpaste that works, but I guess I don't want silica.  Any info on this?  Perhaps I'm mistaken.

Thanks

Yes, it does have silica if you look at ingredients on Amazon.  I am going to give this a try as I just can't tolerate the Crest White Strips after a few days and hate sitting with them in my mouth.  I can always send this back if it doesn't work for me.

Thanks.  I had just googled it myself.  I won't buy it due to the silica.  I am fearful of losing enamel.  I used to use a whitener with silica.

Good luck with it!

I just saw this info.

No, I meant the Supersmile, not the stuff with silica.  I just can't take white strips, so I will try Supersmile and I figure I can send it back if it doesn't work.

Re: Question about Supersmile

there were some comments in the reviews about the tubes not being filled and not getting the full amount etc,

I weighed them this morning and both the gel and past are 8oz

so we are getting what we paid for

@jackthebear

I actually ended up buying as I think it's ok.  I don't think it's awesome, but it's probably better than any other whitening toothpaste on the market.  And, since it's safer for the enamel, it's a winner for me.

I don't think it whitens super well at all, but the more I use it, I guess the more I like it.   I wasn't too impressed with it several years ago.  My teeth are still pretty white and I haven't had zoom in awhile.  It must be doing something.

I won't use anything with silica now that I know it erodes enamel.  Thanks for the info on your tubes.  I even went on a/d!
