The company that bought Tatcha is trying to build a high-end stable of beauty products.
You can't get Tatcha in Japan. An American in Osaka wondered about this, and she was told it is an American brand using Japanese products. They don't sell it there.
I taught in Japan when I was younger. I do like their rice powder scrub, but I don't believe "the Geisha book story" completely for a minute. I think it's just another gimmick. I visited Kyoto a number of times, and one time met a Geisha in the ladies' room. She was using Estee Lauder cosmetics!

I was wondering where Vicky Tsai was during the TSV day! I noticed everytime they presented it was Janipher. Interesting that she sold it already.....
