@Icegoddess.  I don't like the bifocals that are not prescription either.  My favorites, from Readers.com, are wire framed half glasses.  I can look over the top easily to see at a distance or the TV.  Very lightweight.  Comfortable.

@Kachina624 I used to have a pair of wire-rimmed readers that had no wire across the top. They were also great for looking at my music but also looking over them to see the director or the TV screen at the back of the sanctualry.  I need to find another pair like that.  Once you add a rim across the top, even as thin as a wire, it becomes distracting.

@GinaV24

You got it.  "Affectation" is a word I recently thought of concerning the readers and the host.  It's part of her "persona."  I get the feeling QVC directs the hosts to do what it takes to get the viewers to love them; then customers are more likely to put items in the cart and purchase them.

@Lipstickdiva.  You're not on TV before thousands of people and driving them crazy snatching your glasses off and on over and over.  For years, I wore no-line bifocals for reading only with clear glass in the upper section so I never had to take them off.  I wouldn't have considered contacts at any point in my eyewear adventures.

We all have our irritants, and I guess some people, are more easily irritated than others?

I've never been, in the least irritated by Shawn, and her glasses, much less driven crazy by them. I suspect, the forums, are far too tiny a sampling, of viewers, to suggest thousands are 😊

Courtney makes all kinds of claims & hard sells everything.  I had an exam & need a 1.25 for distance like driving & 2.50 for reading.

Very large frames and not for me.  The lenses starting peeling after a few weeks.
