With all the buzz about induction burners and a rumor that the Q will be offering one, it's remarkable that they're offering a set of pans without the disc that enables them to be used with induction. Sort of the horse and buggy of cookware. I wouldn't buy just for that reason.

Didn't we just have a FULL day of cooking? Shouldn't this TSV been on that date? Didn't watch the garden show day and now St. Patrick's day is a bust. I'm saving a lot of money, thanks Q!

Yeah, what's up with this? What happened to the skechers they advertised as the tsv today? Did they dig too many sets of pots & pans out of a warehouse and are trying to get of them now? And didn't we JUST have 24hrs of cooking stuff on Sunday, then 24hrs of garden stuff. Way to turn off the shoppers these days.
Can we say BORING?

I never get tired or bored with Meredith. This set of pans has one major flaw....not induction ready!! The tall 3qrt pot with basket is a waste since both Mark Charles and Meredith already presented a pot just like this previously. I luv the 500 degree oven mark and the non-stick as presented; however, until I can cook with induction cookware I will pass on this TSV.

Even if there are induction burners for some, won't there be millions and millions of us still cooking for years and years without them? I don't need pans at this stage of my life, but if I were 20 years younger, I'd be looking.
As things are, I truly don't care what the TSV is - there's not a thing on my buy list except for one AD coming due --and that will last all the way into June.
I'm always surprised when posters say a certain TSV is saving them money. EVen in my worst year of overbuying, I did not buy every day, lots of times not even every week.
The only way QVC saves me money is when I can buy what I already want at a price I've determined is good for me.

I think the 'buzz' is over. When induction cooking was introduced to consumers decades ago it was a flop here in the US. Other countries took to it but not here for some reason.
When I saw it about 15 years ago I thought is was so cool and even as someone how cooks ALOT, I have never once been motivated to convert.
I have a good friend who has an induction cooktop (she remodeled about 8 years ago) and she says it it very hard to learn and burned alot of food. She is not a chef but attended culinary school.

I respectfully disagree . . . for someone that has a very old, 60's kitchen that I cannot afford to remodel at this point I am thrilled to have my induction burner as it has been a lifesaver.
I love that I can turn the burner on and it responds like it was a gas burner and to be honest have never burned anything even though I am used to electric.
I agree that I am very surprised that more of QVC's pots and pans are not induction ready as it is a very quick and safe way to cook.

I don't need cookware ...what i am wondering is why did they not have a lid for the smallest pot..I know it can share the lid with that tall pot that Mark Charles also offers....but why not a separate one..
They have been bragging about the other pots have lids...and how big they are and how inexpensive they are...blah blah...yet they cheapened it , for me at least, by not having a lid for the baby pot..
I have another c.e. set that came with a small pot like that and it came with a lid...its the one i use the most...

Nuwave has made millions selling this burner; they are extremely popular. All I can say is your friend must not be overly bright because I started using mine and never read the directions. I've never burned a thing...it would be hard to do. Love my induction burner.
