I already have a counter top oven by KitchenAid that isn't as big as the TSV, but I would never give up that amount of counter space. I can't imagine that something that big doesn't generate a lot of heat so it wouldn't be much better than a regular oven in the summer. I'm not spending any money anyway, so no sale.

I doesn't put out a lot of heat.  I actually used my regular oven last week for once just to make cornbread specifically because I wanted it to heat the room. The top gets warm, but that can be a bonus heating up plates or keeping something warm, but it's not so hot that it's a problem for the cabinets above it or the items I have right next to it.  In fact, I couldn't even tell it was on when I walk by it if the light inside wasn't on.

I wanted this so bad last year, but I found out it has a non-stick coating which I can't use because I have Parrots and the fumes will kill them. I searched everywhere for a toaster oven without a non-stick coating and found a Waring Pro on Amazon and it was a discontinued model, but it is fantastic. I paid around $99 for it, mine is not a cheap type of toaster oven, it is definitely substantial. I am glad I got that one.

@conlt, I'm not sure what non-stick coating you are talking about.  Mine doesn't appear to have any non-stick coating.  Maybe it's referring to the cookie sheet they were including in yesterday's TSV.

Nebraska Furniture Mart is offering the oven for less than QVC's TSV price.  OVC had the oven for $129, plus almost $20 in shipping,  Nebraska Furniture Mart has it for $142, plus free shipping (which QVC should have offered).  They don't offer the cheap cookie sheet, or cookbook.  You can find convection recipes all over the web, some even specific to the Oster oven.  QVC uses their excessive shipping as revenue they hope customers are to stupid to notice. If you weren't able to get the TSV, you can still get a deal.

I always compare with Amazon and Bed Bath& Beyond first when I see something on QVC.  A lot of time it is less on both, considering coupon, Prime, and no shipping.

My red Oster oven arrived yesterday, 5 days before my estimated arrival. It's in perfect condition. After reading through the intructions, I turned Bake on to Preheat. The ready chime went off in just a few minutes...so few in fact that I grabbed my oven thermometer and placed it on the top shelf. The temp was about 220. It took about 12 minutes to reach 350.Then, I upped it to 450. It took several minutes for the temp tp rise, but it did and held the temp perfectly.

My  newesh regular oven temp is all over the place, so I can wait for this Oster to reach temp and hold it!

It's a very good looking appliance and very spacious inside! I'm very pleased!

I like it but honestly, it would take up too much real estate on my counter.

you can use the 20 % off on the Breville oven, I did. Not only was the biggest Breville on sale i used the 20 % so i saved over well over $100.00. I really like the Breville. The cooking time pauses when you open the door.

BB&B does not accept the 20% off coupons on Breville.  If you go to the website and put an oven in your basket then go to checkout and try to apply a coupon, you’ll see that the coupon is not accepted.  Message says Breville does not accept any coupons on their products, so it is an excluded brand at BB&B and is listed as such in their rules and exclusions list. Maybe coupon of some amount could be used at different retailer, don’t know, but Breville does not discount their products.  Would be nice though!  If you purchased in store, perhaps an unknowing clerk let you use the 20% off in error, but that was a mistake....lucky you!

Halo:  I thought it had a metal interior?  I almost ordered it, but decided to wait for reviews.  I, too, have a difficult time finding appliances such as waffle makers, and just about everything else, that don't have non-stick surfaces.

I do have two small waffle makers from years ago with non-stick Teflon coating, which was made in USA and very durable. No surface chipping, etc.  Also a large rectangle waffle maker with stainless interior (the old fashioned surface!).  But that one is too big unless we have guests.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
