There are many legitimate postings on line about not using micro currents on facial and neck areas.  People with pacemakers and. Hip and knee replacements are cautioned  not to use products like NuFace.  The currents could interfere with pacemakers and could possibly cause joint replacements to heat up and cause damage.  I was surprised at the number of medical schools and others posting this and yet I don't remember hearing QVC mentioning this. I have a hip replacement and ordered one today but was able to cancel it.  Anyone remember QVC commenting on this?

@seedpie    I did not see any of the presentations but they should have made the disclaimer "check with your medical provider".  I've always known that certain people should not use that type of device especially if you are pregnant.

Also I think this type of treatment can break down the natural collagen in your skin. It can have long term effects on the skin. Exercise is the best way to tone your facial skin! Low impact exercises to be exact, like walking or marching in place. And you are strengthening your core muscles, which not only will tighten your abs and glutes but will help with posture and balance as we age. It’s a win win!!

I don't believe it really works after looking at a few of the hosts who claim they used it everyday.....

I used it and got terrible headaches, I stoped using it and they went away. My doctor said don't use it.

IMHO, this is just a money grab. The only permanent solution is a facelift. I can't see how this device would help in the long run. You are going to age whether you like it or not. I look at many hosts that can use any product but I don't see great results.

It's another gimmick.

I'm here to say that it DOES work.  It reduced my undereye wrinkles; I took photos of before and after.  (Before photo is on the right.) That being said, there was such a time commitment if you did all sections of your face and used the ELE attachment, which I did, that for the results I saw, it just wasn't worth it.  No one would ever notice the wrinkles being reduced, because they were tiny to begin with.  I just couldn't imagine doing it for the rest of my life for the amount of improvement I saw.  I used it religiously for 4 years and then sold it on Facebook Marketplace for $50.

Microcurrent devices do not damage collagen in the skin. In fact microcurrent devices stimulate the the parts of the skin to produce collagen, not break it down.

What mostly breaks down collagen is damaging sunlight and glycation (dietary sugars attaching to collagen fibers in skin making them get stiff and aged).

As for using microcurrent devices if you have knee/hip replacements...unless you use the thing on your knees or hip (why would you??) then it shouldn't be a concern.
