I don't mind the burnishing, but I am concerned about it rubbing my ankles and causing discomfort in the ankle area.  Pass for me.

I ended up ordering the black.  Was torn but I too heard the host and then Sally confirm that the brown had a mauve undertone.  I don't want a mauve undertone to my boots.

I almost go the black, but ended up getting the blue.  (Something I seldom do.)

Sally, the vendor said that is why there is a V at the ankle bone to not cause any rubbing or chafing.
