IMO if they priced each size differently which is appropriate, customers would complain on the bigger sizes.
That may be true, but I will not subsidise them. If people didn't buy them at that price they'd make the adjustment.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I like my PJ's to be flannel when it's cold, not my sheets. I like to get into cool sheets and warm them up on my own.
