Thank you all so much for trying to help. I understand what is being said it just doesn't seem safe or common sense. If this darn thing wasn't so little and pretty it would be in the box to go back right now.

Love the visual, cooked with it, the pod is hot and emits so much heat after cooking. I have fiberglass trays and placed it on there and the heat still traveled to the counter top. It's hard to believe that none of the users are worried about burning their counter tops. Placing on the stove would be even more dangerous.
I really appreciate your imput.
@hopi Glad I could help. I have the Ninja Foodi 10 Qt 6 in 1 dual zone Smart XL Air Fryer with two independent 5 qt baskets, Smart Cook Thermometer, Match Cook, Smart Finish, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate and Reheat. I bought from Amazon. I love it but it is very heavy. I didn't think I was going to get it out of the box. It was on sale when I purchased. Good luck and best wishes with your purchase.

All heat generating appliances should be unplugged after use, coffee makers, toaster ovens, all of it.

@hopi When I take the pod off the base after cooking, I sit it on a glass trivet until it cools. Then after the glass base is cleaned and dry I store it away.

Thanks for understanding.... if I keep it I will probably leave it out on one of the containers. Saw 2 new users on Youtube finally say this is to hot for my counter. One did a trivet and the other put it on the stove...which is dangerous.

The 10 you see is cookiing time. 10 minutes is the default time. The plus and minus to the right and left are to adjust the cooking time. Please read the manual. It will help you so much. Can you use a wooden cutting board to sit the Crispi on? Any trivet should work as well

I placed a silicone trivet under my Crispi and it still got hot - not to mention how hot the side glass surfaces get. Also I found the head also got hot especially if you air fried a couple founds of food.

I guess I expected it to get hot. It cooks at 400 + degrees. I have granite counters so no problem for me. I hope all of you who have counter tops that can burn find something safe to cook on.

After reading through all replies,
mine is still in the box.
Considering just returning it.
My old [simple] [now donated] Ninja Air Fryer was so easy to use; just harder to clean.
The upside of this Crispi is how petite and pretty this thing looks on the counter. Wonder if this is under the Christmas return date. Going to play with it more. Also do not like how my old (but still fairly new) air fryer cleaned. Cooking on the glass and their plates looks so much better and healthier.
