OP, sorry but I don't have an answer to your question. However, I had been wanting this for years, and followed it on Costco dot com but the reviews were consistently poor. The software was buggy and there were mechanical problems, as I remember. That was an older model, however, but I am not anxious to spend this amt of money until I know it's a fabulous product.

I thought that it used to scan and automatically categorize your purchases, the emphasis more for bookkeeping and budget, taxes etc. I find the emphasis on recipe collecting humorous. I guess it's a nice feature but I really do want the financial organizing help. If this gets good reviews (and the new model offered at Costco) I'll buy one early next year. BTW $79 for that recipe software??? Ridiculous! - Bird

From what I have read they have worked out a lot of the problems. You need to read current reviews from at least 2014 to get the best information. They have updated quite a bit and are supposed to be quite responsive to addressing issues. I'm not really interested in the recipe software at all.

My printer software can be set to sort whatever I scan. If you scan to keep track of expenses, great, but I have scanned receipts and other documents only to find out that only the original is acceptable so I never depend on a scanned receipt.
