At the end of one hour they had sold over 15k so they are special to a lot of people. I like the idea it helps impoverished women become self reliant and have a stable income. I am not sure if it for just the Catholic faith as I am Baptist.

I am horrified that QVC would stoop so low.  A protection bracelet.  What makes it a "protection" bracelet?  Does it have some magical powers in it?  I could wear a rubber band around my wrist and call it a "protection bracelet".
