Re: Lug TSV - November 10, 2023

I have never been drawn to any Lug bags.  This is an easy pass for me.  Basically comes to about $40-- each.  Plus, I'd never carry it. Cat Indifferent

This isn't the TSV, but are there any takers on the new Lug Tote bag?

F43635

Lug Large Carry-All Bag with Sherpa - Avion SE

$89.98

It's partial sherpa tote.  At first I didn't understand the big sherpa "U" on the front because that's all I saw.  But now I get it -- it's L U G spelled out across the bag.

No thank you, I'm not advertising Lug in huge sherpa letters, even if I wanted a Lug Tote.  Odd.

@fairydogmother   Like you, I'm leaning towards the houndstooth with the little doggy interior. Has a lot of personality. But I don't care for the hot pink one. I'd rather have the Irish plaid looking one.

Like others here, it would have been nice to have a lower price point for one or be able to "pick your combo".

They offer multiples of same item so we can be brainwashed  by there repeated comments, "" .. keep one,   give one away,   or keep both.   or put one in your gift closet...

Re: Lug TSV - November 10, 2023

just some random observations on keep one, gift one...

my friends and I don't do that with each other. Neither do my two female relatives and myself. I fell for this line a couple of times in the past- the recipients seemed to feel extremely awkward and later out of nowhere (guilt), they gave me a gift. It was uncomfortable all around. Yes I realize that isn't the situation for everyone.
So I have to settle myself down when I see a tsv that I really like, offering a twofer.

May have bought one but don't want two. Why is everything sold in pairs? Not all of us have someone who wants this for a gift. I don't know any other retailer who sells things in twos.  Also, these should have free shipping.

It's the Costco model, either pairs or a gigantic single size. It doesn't make sense to me, but they wouldn't do it if it didn't work.

Looks too small to be functional.  But the idea is wham bam, you have gift for your two great aunts.  Scratch them off your shopping list.

Re: Lug TSV - November 10, 2023

In quite a while, the handbags on the Q aren't large enough to hold a Kleenex. Is this the trend----small, tiny crossbody cloth bags? I see those and cannot imagine trying to get all of my things in one or even two.

I guess I am a handbag snob. I recall one ex-host who always said people lead with their handbags. That is right to me. It's the first thing I notice about anyone. If it's a fanny pack, crossbody and looks like a kid would wear it, I am not interested. The Q used to have real quality designers, and now it's like Vera Bradley.

If these tiny cloth cosmetic cases looks are "in" I will have to be out. I need a real  handbag.

Has anyone seen that these things are on trend? I think they look childish.

IMHO.
