I don't they are selling well.  David just said nearly 10,000 have been ordered all day.  That's not very many.  In my opinion, the price is way too high for many people in today's economy.

These prices are insane.  Besides, imo, the claws are the best part of the lobster.  I'll have  my lobster when I go to Maine in a few weeks....

@SoCal Bred   My cousin lives in Maine.  It's not that price anymore but it is the best lobster.  I am not that crazy about it

I can get frozen 4 oz lobster tails on sale at the grocery store for $5 or $6 a piece, so the TSV isn't a deal for me.

@Teddixat

I realize the price is not the same today, my in-laws have a beautiful home on the cove and we just enjoy eating all the fresh seafood during our visits to Maine.

I love lobster and lobster tails. If money were no object, yes, I would've bought these. My local seafood market sells the tails periodically, as does my local grocers. Given the choice, I would definitely get them from the seafood market; at least they could tell me the source. I had a neighbor who was a military pilot and would fly up to Maine and bring back a box for me. There really is a difference in the taste of all seafood dependent on where it's coming from. Again, if money were no object, I surely would've gotten at least the smaller option. My favorite way of having lobster/lobster tails: someone else preparing them for me!

Global warming isn't going to destroy the commercial fishing industry.  The federal goverment wants to put wind farms off the coast of New England, destoying traditional lobstering and fishing grounds.  Our government is going to beat Mother Nature to the punch.

We get them for special occassions at Wegmans, bigger and for a lot less money. Some of the food on the Q is very very high in calories, fat and sodium and carbs!!  buyer beware!!!
