If you're just starting out, I can see buying this flatware. I think you should probably get two sets though, which would really jack up the price. When you have family visiting, a set for four isn't going to be enough.

Don't most of us who purchase from QVC have enough flatware though? We've probably accumulated more than we need over the years. I always see sets for sale at estate sales. Their family don't even need them.

I have 3 sets of Reed and Barton service for 12 from QVC. One set hasn't been used. The second set is used for holidays or special occasions and a third set is used everyday. Yes I have enough..

I have a set that served 12 not 4. That was many years ago when Q offered these set often.  MY have prices gone way up!  They are so very nice though and worth it if you can afford at least 2 sets.

That looks like a beautiful set! Much more shiny than the Lennox set.

I don't like any of the patterns. The last set I bought was Reed and Barton.

I actually would like to have a new set of flatwear, but at least 6 place settings, but that would be quite pricey.  I haven't been buying flatware over the years and I have a mixture, but only 3 of my best teaspoons.  Guess it'll have to do.  It's just the two of us and the only time I have company I pull out the good silver.

Good call on the timing.  Thanksgiving was a wake-up call for place settings 😁

Since I love all things "table" I would have been interested in this TSV but I don't care for any of the patterns.  They're all quite boring.  Nothing new and exciting.

I live alone and I would need a flatware set for at least 8, not just 4.  So I look at this is a $140 TSV, since I'd need two sets.

A Lenox flatware service for 12 (65 pieces, including a 5-piece service set, not just two pieces) goes for $139 on a good sale on Amazon.
