Le Creuset TSV - Shipping Question

Hi. New to forums, not new to the Q!

I ordered two Le Creuset TSVs from 11\12 (one during the midnight TSV presentation; the second one later in the day). The first one (in Cerise) has already shipped; the second one (in Artichaut) shows "preparing your order".

I'm not in a tremendous hurry to receive either one, but I'm curious as to what the heck does preparing your order mean? Are they giving it a pep talk to steel its nerves before it heads out into the dark, cold, cruel world?  😉  Is it still packing its suitcase?? Perhaps it is still saying goodbye to its fellow TSVs?

I would think (which usually gets me in trouble...) that if one orders two TSVs that they would walk out the door together (not necessarily holding hands) on the same day. But, then again, perhaps they are coming from different locations??

Again, I'm not in a rush to get them. I'm just curious as to what the situation is.

Pardon my snarkiness  -  that's my default modus operandi.

Thank you and Bubbles Up!

Re: Le Creuset TSV - Shipping Question

Maybe all of your guesses plus checking ur credit card to verify u have the funds so bank will lock the $ before shipment......sending order to warehouse...cutting paperwork for shipment, etc.

@Bobcat21532.  Consider that the item must be pulled from stock, packaged, an address label prepared and slapped on it, taken to an area where it will be picked up by a shipper.  They undoubtedly cannot do thousands all in one day and they may even be at different warehouses with different workloads.

Re: Le Creuset TSV - Shipping Question

@Bobcat21532 This is not uncommon. I ordered 2 of the exact same things, same item, color, everything. One is arriving tomorrow. The other one is preparing to ship. I don't believe anybody on these forums has a clue why.

I rarely even check order status, I just am excited when a package arrives. And, I never buy anything from QVC that I have to have within the next 2-3 weeks. Shipping has gotten a lot better but you never know.

Re: Le Creuset TSV - Shipping Question

I think it's stated somewhere on this site that commingling of pots in the QVC shipping process goes against company policy....and will not be tolerated. Woman WinkWoman WinkWoman Wink

Especially co-mingling of cherries (cerise) and artichokes (artichaux)! Doesn't sound all that yummy to me...

Thank you for your excellent, fun answer!

@Bobcat21532.  Was not aware you only wanted a "fun" answer.  Why waste our time?

I was looking for an answer, but a bit of humor \ jocularity in one's life from time to time does no harm. I regret if you felt this was a waste of your time.

@Kachina624.   You might read Bobcat21532 post again.  It is tongue in cheek. I thought it was fun!  She is new to the group.  So sorry you felt your time was wasted.
