I don't post very often, but I wanted to respond to buying a recliner without trying it first - DON'T!
I have bought two different styled microfiber material recliners from QVC and both went to the Salvation Army after a couple of years. At $600 per chair - and that did not include shipping - that was a major loss for me.
I fell for the ezpays and the convenience of not having to go into a store...........
The first one did not retain it's shape - it was an oversized recliner which I loved and super comfy when it was received, but after months of use it was like sitting on a board and the seat cushion and the back had a separation between them and the chair warranty did not cover that.
The second one had 'memory foam' and it was as hard as a rock to sit on and the way it was cut on the head rest and the leg rest really made me sore and uncomfortable. It did NOT conform to my body.
The cost of a return for a non-defective chair was way too high to even consider, plus try to rebox one of those! Mine came in 2 pieces and the top needed to be attached to the bottom which isn't a big deal unless you have a physical limitation. But, that attachment can be a real pain to take apart and might take two people to do it.
I waited for local recliner sales and went to the store and got a great deal with free delivery.
These were my experiences, but you won't know how you fit into the chair until you sit in it.....and, the idea that it's okay for a person's feet to hang over the end doesn't make sense to me. The recliner my husband now uses fits his 6'1" frame and his feet are on the footrest and he is totally comfortable.
