I noticed in the few presentations I watched that the motor was extremely LOUD...

I already have a K/A stand mixer, so I am not in the market for a new one, so just an observation.

I do think @ciao_bella did her homework and makes some valid points.

@Icegoddess

"David is claiming all metal parts on this model in the presentation,  I heard him say it at least twice."

David brightly raps his knuckles on the OUTSIDE of the machine....the shell which IS made of metal, but that metal case has NOTHING to do with running the machine....

The GEARS inside that case do the heavy work, and at least ONE of them is kevlar ( not metal) and is a sacrificial gear that should fail first under load to prevent the metal gears from getting damaged, although that does not always happen.

That being said, the metal gears have a failure rate that makes the machine inoperable.

You Tube is FULL of repair videos for KA mixers ( look at "replacing gears in KA stand mixer."..they ALL show the plastic gears.

And on the bowl lift model, the parts in the stand part of the mixer, where the lift handle is, are a LOT of plastic parts. I had one of these that was 20 years old and it already had plastic parts that failed in the bowl lift apparatus. Dozens of You Tube videos on that repair procedure too show those plastic parts.

Amazon sells the replacement plastic gears for the KA mixer. not original equipment, and not recommended.

So...when David loudly raps his knuckles on that CASE of the KA mixer, he is correct. IT is made of steel.

The gears that actually run the thing,in the motor ( the planetary mixing) and the bowl lift mechanism are NOT all made of metal.

This is not accurate description that David gives. It's an implication.

Also...as some pointed out...LISTEN to it...Loud as all get out.

Lastly...today's TSV is made for QVC. You can tell by Googling the model number which is listed in the description of the product.

I'd wait for the new one to come out.

W/S reviews are pretty bad for THIS model too.

@Othereeeen  You are correct!  I also did my homework researching the QVC model and the 'newest' model which Costco has for the same price $299 (last day is today for the Costco sale price.)  The Costco one is a different model number and has the half speed along with other amenities the QVC model doesn't have.  I bought the Costco Kitchenaid last night in red.  It's available in a pretty cherry red or silver.  Costco will always stand by what they sell years from now.  My money and purchase for the Kitchenaid went to Costco.

@ciao_bella   I thought the Costco model was an excellent choice.

I have the tilt head model that I have had for 48 years.  I paid over $300 for it back then.  It only came in two colors, white and almond.  I got the almond.

I have purchased several accessories over the years.  I have two bowls, 2 flat beaters, the pasta roller and two pasta cutters and the grinder/slicer and the sifter.

Enjoy using yours.

I need to get the flex edge beater next.
