Ibutton. When I want tea I just don't put a k cup in and just get hot water. Same for the iced coffee button I don't understand why you can't just make a smaller cup (stronger) then add the ice and milk. Please explain as I am on the fence.
thank you.

You can of course make tea and iced coffee your way! I really think that the "iced coffee" button is useless. It is not as if cold water is dispensed. I own the Elite and like it very much.

I have a Keurig with the hot water button. I also wondered why it was there. I just left out the K-cup when I needed hot water on my old unit.
I have the iced coffee button too. This button seems to allow the water to stay in the K-cup longer so that the coffee is stronger and doesn't get diluted when pours over ice. It also allows the right amount of coffee to be dispensed in my ice coffee cup.
I like my new Keurig elite model so much, I have two of them. They are a million times better than my older 11 and 12 year old units that finally died a week apart this summer...and they are quiet...thankfully.

Thanks for the explanation @Carmie That makes sense.
I just ordered it.
My sis just got the exact same model from the big A and paid $30 more. Yes, I am adding in the S/H to the Q price....total complete, she paid $30 more and did not get any K cups OR the use your own coffee basket thingy.
Mine is over 8 years old and makes too strong of coffee for us. When I used hers, I was able to select an even larger size that mine doesn't have. It was a great cup!
I also use it for tea which I do like strong so these features will be great.

I purchased a Keurig when they first were on the Q many years ago. It didn't take long to realize that it wasn't a good purchase and I returned it. A couple years ago someone gave me a newer model Keurig at the time. Once again we rarely used it. My kids used it for an easy way to make Hot Chocolate but for coffee not a great value.
I am a big tea drinker in the winter. It is easier for me to use an electric tea kettle and continue to fill up my cup using reagular tea bags (at a much lower cost). I'm also famous for not finishing a cup of coffee before heading to the coffee pot to refill and heat up which again makes the Keurig a real pain for me personally.
