No, you can’t my DIL broke her Keurig trying.
i remove the k-cup holder..it pops out. I take the machine over to the sink and remove the tank and open the lid, tilt it over the sink and use my facet sprayer to clean the grounds out without getting the whole machine wet.
i dry it well. I have two Keurig’s ...they must be about 8 years old and they work like new.
One Keurig is for my camper. I remove it during the winter time, flush it with vinegar and store it in a heated space. Your machine will break if the water inside freezes. There is no way to drain 100% of the water out.

I have tried, but you have to be careful there is a very sharp needle up there. My last batch [4 boxes] I had about 8 cups explode, and of course, the grounds were in the cup,and it had to be thrown away. I have a new batch, if this happens I will contact Keurig, these are too expensive to have this happen. I take a sponge and carfully while wet push it up there till it comes out clean, I buy the big puck daddy sponges. I've had my Keurig about 4 years. love it.
