Hi I like some advice please, I like  to  know which  will be a better deal the K2.0250 or the KO. 450 ?  the upcoming  TSV Dec. 9th I like a comparison I have a kO450 on waillist the last TSV,now.  I  like the features on the  the KO.250 did noitce there is no Carafe included Thank's & have a great Holiday.

The poster just means, that you can't use the older K-Cups, or cups that are not distributed from Keurig or one of it's authorized distributors. They now have codes on them that the brewing system needs to read or it will not work. Many people have posted that there is a way around this, so I would not be overly concerned.  I do not have a problem, because I purchase all of my cups through Keurig.

I just got an e-mail about The Keurig 2.0 K 250 Coffee Maker.  $79.96 & $7 S&H on 4 easy pays.  It comes with it's own K-cup for your own coffee.  What I don't understand is that it comes with a Filter Starter kit with 2 filters & one wand and one bottle of descaling solution.  I have a Keurig and it doesn't have a filter.  Do you have to buy additonal filters and descaling solution?  I was thinking about getting this for DD but I don't want to buy it if she has to keep buying more filters.  I have a regular coffee maker and I just run white vinegar through it, then water to clean it out occasionaly, so I don't think I want to get this for her.

I got this machine early through the Insider and I am returning it as soon as I get it boxed up.... I used it for three days and then all the usual tempermental problems I have had in the past with Keruig started up.   I had hoped that the 2.0 would have dealt with some of the problems. 

1. no matter what strength I put it on, the coffee was weak. Although I did like the Peet samples that came with the machine. 

2. I had the exact same problem with the my Kcup as I have with my previous version. Very very weak coffee using my own coffee and then the machine began messing up immediately after I used the my Kcup for the first time.   The machine suddenly  refused to recognize regular Kcups... and these were the Kcup samples that came with the machine!!!I had to clean the needle out and then run and entire tank of water through the machine, and waste three expensive kcups in the process to get to work again. 

3. I live alone, and the idea of a Keruig is perfect for someone like me, but I am never happy with the perfomance of the machines or the taste. 

4. I got the strawberry color and it is not a deep pretty red.... not a Kitchen Aid red.. it's sort of a light, pinkish red.... I didn't like that either... 

5. So, I went today and bought the Ninja Coffee Bar that is getting rave reviews at Walmart... much cheaper there than here on the Q... and I am packing up the Keriug to return as soon as I get home... 

I am done trying Keruig ... I really wanted it to work... but it just doesn't for me.

But, that Peet coffee samples was pretty good. .

authorized Keurig K-Cup(R) pods and K-Carafe(TM) pods.

This means if you don buy this kind it will not work with the new Keurig coffee makers because the new ones read that cap. So for example if you want to buy a'Walmart' brand k-cup you may like or another brand it will not work.

I had a new one last year as with many other customer complaints about that and people complained about pump stopped working. Mine went back 2 x finally got money back.
