Several years ago I purchased these "Scissors" and they worked just great for several months and then the "Blades" became dull and would not cut "Anything"! I have tried every sharpener to no avail to bring the "Blades" back to being sharp again! Has anyone else had this problem with these "Scissors"? Or, do you know what product will sharpen them like new again? Thanks y'all!

Same thing has happened to mine, they worked great for years! I gave the other two away as gifts. I tried to sharpen them to no avail, so I would like to know what can be used to do so. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

@SweetSpice @Poopie They are self sharpening when you squeeze them open and closed like your cutting..Do that a few times after several uses or cutting something hard.

Many years ago I bought those and from the beginning I did not find them very useful beyond cutting flower stems or other softer items. They never could be used for the items that were demonstrated in the promotion. They became dull early on and I threw them away into the recycle bin.

I had the same problem several years ago. I ended up throwing them away. Last year I thought I would try the updated set. These are great. They have a sharp cutting edge, wash nice and fit in my hand nicely. I'm glad I bought them.

Have used these shears since they were first offered, quite a few years ago. I have them everywhere, ie, kitchen, garage and garden shed. Also, purchased them for gifts and been told often how well they work and last. They all still work and cut thru anything, like trimming back a fence row of flowers in the fall and cutting up small limbs. I use sandpaper over the blades to clean/sharpen them, which is very important, for all types of often used tools. I would not have noticed these shears if it was not on QVC! Thank you for bringing this topic for discussion.

I used to send my knives and scissors to a person in the midwest (I think) to have them professionally sharpened every other year or so. But he retired and the last person I used was not great. I bought an electric knife sharpener and it does an okay job - I think the lack of it being a good job is operator error.

Yes, has happened to me too. I wouldn't buy them again.

Wow @SweetSpice , that surprises me. Like @AbbeB I have had mine for many years and they all still work great. I use them every day. I mostly use them in my kitchen, and they are my favorite, but I have them in my office, garage and "junk" drawer.
I can't make a suggestion for sharpening since I haven't had the need but I wanted to buy this TSV because I like them so much but changed my mind when I realized mine still work just great.

I have used these shears for several years now. I really like them for cutting through the heavy plastic and cardboard of coin battery packs and other size battery packages.. I have also used them for cutting up cardboard boxes. Never had a problem. They do self sharpen too.
