Here's the thing. The product isn't spoiled. It is the Thymol (a component, as they put it, of Thyme oil) that she used in the product, as well as 99.77% of God, knows what else is in it!!
The internet research will tell anyone interested in knowing what Thymol is and the hazards it can cause. To receive the Good Housekeeping seal of approval?... I don't think so. Let them clean their house and inhale that toxic product and give us an honest feedback on it. This is a scandal not soon forgotten.

I have bought and used cleaning products in the past that have a smell that I cannot tolerate. I don't vomit, get dizzy or run out of the room screaming over the smell but they borderline give me a headache and some of them have a smell that lingers and permeates not only my upstairs, if used in the bathroom, but starts to make its way downstairs. I cannot and will not use a product of the scent isn't tolerable to me.
I read the comments in the link that was posted here. Some of the comments are funny, although I don't think they were intended to be. I got a chuckle out of the one that said something about Joy saying you could take this to a restaurant and spray your table with it and if she did that, there would be mass evacuations. LOL

Funny how an internet search can yield totallly opposing info! My search resulted, aside from its derivative, the it's commonly used as a filler in meds, mouthwash, etc.

I've used the Seventh Generation All-Purpose cleaner (NOT the disinfecting one) for years and have never detected a smell. But yes, the disinfecting version does have an herbal scent that bothers my husband.

I see a class action suit in the future. There is no way that was tested in the Good Housekeeping.facilities. It could trigger an asthma attack or migraines.

I ordered the Orange Blossem set and I am very disappointed. The product itself works well (nothing special) but the smell made me nauseous. My whole house smelled like Listerine, yup, thats right. I had to go outside and get fresh air. There was absolutely no orange blossem smell. I can't understand why Joy Mangano promotes the different smells and that they smell refreshing. NOT TRUE. My 15 year old grandson said my house smelled like a hospital and he even felt sick after a while. I am returning the whole set (that I purchased from HSN, but for some reason NOW I can't even find the product on their website to give a areview). My brother ordered the Spring Meadow and he said the same thing, it smells like Listerine. Disappointed in the false adveritsing of the nice refreshing smell it leaves. NOT TRUE
