Re: Joan Rivers TSV - August 19, 2024

I got one of JR's flannels last year.  It is a good weight and very soft.  At 5'9" the sleeves are long enough.  I wish the TSV came in solid colors.

I like it! I bought it in the black. Yes, it's cotton and it might wrinkle, but I wash in cold water and hang dry. That's good enough. They're cozy.

I really like it....but I don't think I'll be buying it since I just don't need another blouse. I'm also not a huge fan of flannel; I get too hot (indoors) when I wear it. I like the cut, the plaid options, etc.

Re: Joan Rivers TSV - August 19, 2024

I live in flannel shirts in the winter and have a very casual, sporty life so this is exactly what I would wear.

I have shopped LL Bean flannels for a long time, but I find they are sometimes too heavy and it makes doing the buttons difficult.   So anything with flannel and snaps instead of buttons is going to get my attention.

I'm getting the ivory and the ginger.  Will see how they work oiut.  My third choice is the purple and I'll risk waiting to see how the other two do.   JR shirts are generous in size but that;s ok.  Her seersucker shirts are an absolute summer and travel staple for me because they always look so presentable and crisp.

Certainly don't expect 100% cotton to be crisp, but if they run large, that is fine.  I've had some experiences with flannels from Colombia Sportswear that had a lot of rayon and ended up as thin crumpled clingy messes that I didn't wear much and got rid of, even though their plaids were much nicer than the JR ones on show.

Slightly tempted til I noticed the plaid doesn't match up on the side seams.  Not happy about the dip in the back side either.

What I like best is the snap closure. Cat Happy

I was interested until I noticed the "smile" bottom in the back but straight across in the front. I hate that look. It if had the "smile" bottom front & back, I would have ordered.

I am not liking the straight edge in the front. Would prefer curved. I like the idea of snaps. I have not seen a presentation yet.

Watched Joan Rivers for so many years on TV, then the years she was on Q, loved her on Fashion Police

Never ......ever....... saw her in a plaid flannel shirt.

I'll be glad when the hi-lo thing goes away.  I don't like that look.  I also prefer straight hems - front and back -- but that's just my personal taste.
