I'd be interested in knowing why the brand always says ''size down''...why not just make them the correct ordering size?  Would it be a marketing ploy to make you feel ''better about yourself'', in that you are wearing a smaller size??

When I buy a slim cut I usually have to size up.  I have found with NYDJ slim cuts I need to buy my normal size or size up.  They look too tight on the models today and uncomfortable.

I don't wear Capri length so easy pass for me. They look awfully tight which is not my style either. I wear full length jeans or pants in the Summer if I know I will be inside in A/C. Otherwise, I wear shorts or knee length skirts & dresses.

PASS. They look like they have too much stretch. I prefer denim bottoms that have mostly cotton. The TSV looked terrible on the models - WAY TOO TIGHT,  NOT FLATTERING, and OVERPRICED, AS USUAL.

Of all my 50+ pairs of jeans (I love jeans Smiley Happy), I only have one pair that are capris -- and I've worn them just once in the 3 or 4 years I've had them.  I'll be donating them.

I think they look fine on most others, but not on me.  I just don't like skimmers, capris, pedal pushers, or even crops that are less than 26".

But a 26" crop is a yes for me, as well as my favorite, longer, ankle jeans.

If they had a size bigger on the  models then to me they would look frumpy with bagginess!!  There is stretch because they are made to fit perfectly with no bagginess and excess material!!  Those that like wearing clothing what I call is a size or 2 bigger  should wear them that way and let others wear them the way they were intended which is stretch so they are form fitting with no stretch out bagging!!  For this brand I needed 2 sizes down for a perfect fit!  The first pair I got in this brand I sized down a size and they felt ok at first but when I started sitting and moving they felt baggy and puffed out at the waist - very uncomfortable for sure!!.

I agree.  I have several pairs of NYDJ jeans and for me sizing down one makes the perfect fit every time.  They are slim-fitting, just the way they are intended.  I loathe loose fitting jeans that pull away from the body.  Those look very aging on me -- unless I'm wearing boyfriend jeans that are supposed to fit looser.

I ignore NYDJ's sizing gimmick.  I buy them because they are fantastic.  I don't let it bother me and moan about why not just make them fit like that at the original size.

I've purchased plenty of jean brands with regular sizing that fit horribly, and I have to return them.  Also other brands of regular sizing that fit great.  But I have never had to return any of my NYDJ jeans., and I always size down one.

Ummmm.......not a good look when anyone tries to squeeze into a too small garment. These don't look very forgiving. I didn't realize they were from NYDJ. Ugh, I can't take that vendor. Double no!!

I agree.  Tight clothing on anyone especially heavier people is not a good look. These are an easy pass for me.  Besides tight clothing is uncomfortable!!

my sister's chauffeur says women who aren't slim yet wear tight clothing, look like their body is wavy. i got a good laugh out of that and never forgot he said that.
