Seersucker, even fake poly seersucker is usually not a solid color.  It is a striped puckered fabric as is the TSV.

I am not sure why you think the author thought there was anything wrong with working in a Pancake house. The style of the dress looks like a uniform dress that was common back in the day.  That, I have to agree with.  I wore this style myself.

Bringing back uniform style dresses seems to be the " thing" right now.  Some people like it, others are not a fan.

@Teddixat She’s a long time QVC model. I spelled her name like it sounds when pronounced, but I looked online and I was wrong, its Ade. She’s been on this morning with Mary Beth and Isaac.

It's ok if styled with a belt or something around the waist. Alone it looks too frumpy and tent-like. It doesn't look very good on any of the models or hosts except that one model who had a scarf or belt around the waist. I'd wear it with a belt if I could get it on clearance, but at $50+S&H, I am not even remotely tempted.

Ummmmm......absolutely not. There's nothing I like about it. It hardly looks like a "designer" dress. But Issac will say "you look mahlavous darling".
