i don't begrudge them lotion & potion days. And I understand this is extremely important to some women. I just don't watch on those days.

Beauty products must be bringing in high sales and profit. QVC added Beauty IQ. HSN offers free shipping on many beauty products. Some high end department stores offer free shipping on beauty products. There is a market.
I love all things beauty and love the many options available. The level of how we take care of our bodies is our own personal preference. I would never find fault with someone for buying drug store brands, or prestige brands. It's their business. As the saying goes 'Different strokes for different folks.' I remind myself of this when the Q is airing something I am not interested in buying.
I enjoy the beauty shows and look forward to beauty related TSV along with beauty days at the Q.

Then they will have to sell you a product to take away the shine. I won't buy any makeup product that they don't show putting it on live on the air. They come on with an airbrushed face fully made up and pretend to put makeup on. I won't buy skin care from Dr. Denese or anyone else who has had plastic surgery and then says their products cure all.
I agree with all, except Dr. Denese it doesn't bother me she's had some bit of upgrade. If she was doing what Michael Jackson did then that would be different for me. 😜

It seems its always Philosophy, IT Cosmetics, Josie Maran Argan Oil, or Dr. Perricone....or other beauty items, and both channels are inundated with beauty even though they also have Beauty IQ---ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
There comes a time, just like bad skin care routines, that beauty/skin care products reach an OVERSATURATION point and becomes COUNTER PRODUCTIVE (i.e. causing people to change the channel )

If you're talking about the Philosophy TSV, I agree. I also didn't care for the skin tint in the tub. The lighter color reminded me of the Tweak'd body butter and I couldn't imagine putting that on my face.
As far as plastic surgery goes, I don't think any amount of plastic surgery will give you good skin. If you're expecting any more than that I think you will be very disappointed.

All I can say is the shopping channels must make a huge profit from the beauty junk because it comes and goes so fast, you can't keep track of it. I get tired of the riduculous claims, outright lies and before & afters with no perceptible difference. These product are literally a turn-off for me in that I immediately turn off the TV.

I can not believe what women spend on wrinkle cream alone. I mean if they really worked it would put the plastic surgeons out of business. No sign of that yet.

The Q should keep all their "beauty products" on their own beauty iq channel. Then maybe the Q should get a channel each just for boring electronics, nutri-system, vacuum's and mattresses.

I like to take care of my body and like to feel the best I can so I don't settle for just so so and have actually saved money. What works for some doesn't work for everyone in skin care/makeup products and it's great we all have so many choices available.
Nicely said, I agree, and amen. I haven't been able to use drugstore brands of skincare and makeup and get the results I like. That's what works best for me.

Even if someone has had work done they still need good skin care products. Also, I buy and use really good skin care products so my skin will look the best it can. I don't expect the same results (nor do I want them) as what one would get from plastic surgeries but I get great results from the products I use and the compliments I get on my great skin (not how young I look because that does not matter to me) are numerous and have come out of the blue like the time my boyfriend's daughter was just sitting there next to me and suddenly said "your skin is amazing!". Then another time a friend I hadn't seen for about 20 years hugged me and stopped and looked at my face and said "wow I want to know what you are using to have such smooth skin!". So yes many do really work to enhance the skin!
