Re: Hotel Collection TSV - December 12, 2024

I just bought some Slatkin reed diffusers for under $25 on a OTO, so I am all set for scents this year. This item seems pretty expensive and I'm cheap and I think there would be lots of cheaper options on Amazon that probably do the same thing. For this price, it needs to clean my house and do my laundry, lol.

I think that is so unattractive and expensive too.

I'm rethinking all these candles, scents, reeds. Breathing essential oils can be a lung irritant if used for long periods of time.

The TSV choices lately just seem to be so unappealing. Of course I'm sure or at least I think QVC hopes they will appeal to someone or lots of someones!

I can think of lots of things that might be better gift ideas for myself and others and they would have to have reasonable prices!

I also really appreciate you posting these each night @beach-mom. Even if I don't like what they chose it is still good to see what they are and interesting to see at least. I wonder too who is deciding on them.

WOW, $150. for THAT?  It might make a nice hostess gift but not for that price.

I don't think it's unattractive at all.  I think it's beautiful.   I am considering buying it as a treatto myself.  I know two people who have this in their homes and it is absolutely wonderful.

before commenting on the harmful effects of the scents do some  research, These are used in resort hotels that have to appeal to all kinds of people and couldn't use anything harmful.  Some of these resorts take pets and if it was harmful to pets they would be in trouble.

Amazon sells this for $200. Yes you can buy cheap diffusers but they can't hold a cancel to this

I actually did do some research and got information from the American Lung Association.

There are many things we use everyday that are harmful but still considered "possibly safe." Or not safe at all.

If they sell and make money, that is the most important thing to some making them and to others using them worth the risks or side effects.

I just try to be much more aware these days especially with family that have asthma and allergies.

I love scents, perfume, candles, I am just more aware of the effects after doing a lot of research.

Same here. Realized the scented plug ins aren't good for our lungs so stopped those.

Candles are so nice but I use sparingly now.

@Teddixat

I have a couple friends who have exquisite homes.  Retired business women, they have the fragrance called "hotel consigliere" throughout their homes.  There once was piped-in music and now there is also piped-in fragrance.  They also have elevators in their homes.  Yes, I am jealous of the elevators.  My knees would love them.  Not jealous of the ladies.  Love both of them but jealous of their elevators and their homes that smell like 5-star hotels.

They advertise these on TV. Daymon John and Scott Disck are the presenters.  An eye doctor I went to had one of these in his office and it smelled wonderful.

Re: Hotel Collection TSV - December 12, 2024

I'm a big fan of scents in my home. I use scented candles only when I receive them as gifts but I do use Scentsy melts and Bath & Bodyworks wallflowers. This would be welcome in my home but out of my budget right now. I would like to know how much the refill canisters are. The presenter last evening said one canister would last 3-4 weeks so thinking it could get very expensive. If money were not an issue for me, it would be on its way to my mailbox right now.
