Re: Heartland Fresh Chicken Fried Chicken with Gravy TSV - March 20, 2024

@HLP

Being a diabetic and having high BP I don't have a choice. I wish I could eat like this. It's a struggle to eat the way I need to. Woman Sad

I haven't tried these but Tyson has many frozen items with chicken. I have tried them and they are good. I put mine in the air fryer. You can buy gravy packets. I guess it all depends on your likes.

Does anybody know what the sodium count is per serving? Just wondering if they’re heart healthy. Thanks! 🤗

Sodium in chicken is 710mg and sodium in gravy mix is 250mg.

I love this chicken but I do not have freezer space for the 18 count and I cook for one, however, I feel foolish buying the 9 count. What a huge price difference. I suspect it's because of the shipping cost to mail food with dry ice. I was told it's a big,part of the price and it's probably just as costly to send 9 as 18. So, if you buy 9 you pay so much more per piece of chicken.

Pass, I don't do anything breaded and the carbs and sodium are too much for me plus a lot of the ingredients listed, no way.  Since I work it would be nice to just heat and eat but again a big NO.

I've been eating these for years and I'm 90, don't bother wiith counting carbs, I'm 5/1 weigh 113 ponds , and never exercise. I have never been caught up in the health mess. But good for you if that's what you live by.

You are very blessed to be 90. I am 5'1" too but 124 lbs. and have to watch what I eat to stay under 125. I like sweets; that is my downfall. I do like this chicken and find it so convenient!

Those who shop Costco, have you found something similar that you enjoy?

Just Bare is the brand. It is delicious. Thin breading, tender and never dry.

Omaha Steaks has chicken fried chicken for a lot less money. And they're good too.

@CalminHeart   They have them but what I found...

Omaha Steaks has 8-ct, 4.5oz chicken fried chicken on sale for $44.99.  So for 16, it's $89.98 -- plus $19.99 s/h. That's $109.97 (not calculating tax).

Today's TSV has 18-ct, 5oz chicken (more chicken) for $99, free s/h (not including tax).  Plus, I already know I love Heartland's seasoning they use on their chicken, and it's always tender & juicy.  I'm sure of the taste and they're delicious.

Of course you're welcome to buy what you want.

I know what I like too. 16 might have worked when I had a full house but it's way too much for 2 of us.

BTW, Omaha Steaks usually offers free shipping with a $99 order and promo codes on retailmenot etc.
