Re: Heads Up! For those buying the new Lug TSV...

@Susan Louise  I watched the video and saw the bag open.  It's an easy pass for me because anything I put my credit cards/license in needs to be secured by a zipper. That front piece should zip around.  I was very surprised that no one alerted the host it was open, even when she was off camera.  The video continued for several minutes and was so distracting.

I'm interested in another everyday Lug bag, but I didn't like anything about this one.  Including that lock.  I don't care for turn locks at all.

@mspatmac  Absolutely on all counts...considering what that front pocket was designed for...

Rather big design flaw considering all the Lug bags I own have been thought out/designed wonderfully.

Re: Heads Up! For those buying the new Lug TSV...

I was somewhat interested in this bag until the section where the credit cards are was shown.  I like the cards to be facing me so I can tell which one it is.  In that "locked" section the cards are facing away from the person which IMO is awkward to say the least.

@kaydee50

Very good point!  I had not thought about the credit card slots facing the wrong way!

@4kitties   @kaydee50   So then 2 design flaws in a single front pocket of a handbag.

Since I use the tram wallet, the credit card slots facing the wrong way would not have been something I would have noticed right off the bat.

The 3 types of Lug bags I use most often are the trolley crossbody (LOVE how one end zipper pocket is perfect for my flip phone!), carousels/carousel XL and the scoop (original...don't like the set-up in the scoop 2). I use the front zippered pocket on all 3 for my huge fitover sunglasses.

@itsmagic What else would the pocket be good for then?

I'd never put anything valuable in the outer section of this or any other purse. My credit cards are in their own RFID wallet, always in the zipped interior of my bag.

Personally, I do like the gunmetal hardware on the TSV lug, and that separate "wallet" section would keep its contents clean.

So I'd probably keep a couple of clean masks in that front section.

Or maybe a travel packet of tissues, business cards, folded microfiber wiper for my glasses, couple of dental pics, etc.

 Or maybe leave it empty.

Either way, I want to thank you for calling my attention to the TSV. Otherwise, I wouldn't have looked this over, and I'm considering buying it now. So thanks!

Re: Heads Up! For those buying the new Lug TSV...

Thank you all for sharing the information!   I was on the fence, but when I read this thread I realized I don't want a bag that has the front compartment open and you can see the cards on the side.

I have a few Lug bags and they are fine enough for me.  I also prefer a security area in a bag to be zipped.   I have some older Lug bags that have the wallet in the front, but it's a totally zipped compartment.   Plus it doesn't open up as wide as this one.   It's more secure.

I appreciate coming to the forums and getting such great advice and assistance.

I can use $52 a lot more wisely than this TSV.

Re: Heads Up! For those buying the new Lug TSV...

Allow me to say this for a couple of minutes. I think I have a couple of pieces of Lugs. I know the backstory of it being started by a couple who courted long-distance and then got married. I have been with QVC since the CVN days many, many years ago. I can remember when Jane Rudolph Tracey was single and seeking a mate. I stopped frequently and actively being a participant for no other reason than the obnoxious way people would comment. I remember when they were looking for a new presenter. The hateful things people said in order to "help" them select. I can not recall her name and it does not appear in the host lineup, but she is now blond and her descent is Italian. The meanness with which people commented about others turned my stomach and turned me off. The reviews now still amaze me. Have not purchased an item but giving a review based on opinions and one unwarranted and bitter. Purchased the item and instead of just returning it, it has to be justified in such untruths. Now, all to say, I am not necessarily a fan of Lugs, but you know what? I do not purchase. I do not disparage the creator, nor the product. Do I think Lugs is overpriced? Yes, but I would never discourage others from buying any Lugs. They are in my opinion overpriced and nylon but to each her own in finding them great!

Why is this so long? I am a disabled Army Veteran and Military Widow and the rancor with which people gave in reviews regarding the recent TSV was in my opinion unnecessary. The comments in the place requesting information were awful.  People pay for D&B, which I do not think is deserving, not my cup of tea. However, I just don't buy. I don't write nasty so that others can take my opinion as gospel. If the product is not worth it, I move on without comment. Because those of R. Riveter thought of an idea by which they could contribute to their households while and at times when their spouses are deployed, or to bring extra money into their households. Beyond a day off for Veteran's Day and Memorial Day, why were there comments which still turn my stomach, and although I served and so did my deceased husband make me also embarrassed; Not for myself, but for the authors. There are many times I think often of wishing two things:

Wish these negative, nasty nellies would never have found the Q, because symbolically like those who have been hosts since the beginning or near about like Jane, Pat James, Mary Beth, Jayne Dan, David, Rick, and others. The second wish is that I would have purchased stocks in QVC since it split several times over the years and instead of spending money on the Q. I could have money coming in from the Q.

Re: Heads Up! For those buying the new Lug TSV...

So, many will purchase.  Then, many will return.  I predict many returns on this particular QVC LUG TSV.  I do own some LUG bags.  Most of them I like.  There are just a lot of negatives surrounding this TSV.
