Over $4 apiece...is WAY beyond my price range for fruit (!!!)    And they would spoil before I got to the end of them.

i purchased mine this year from pittman and davis and they were excellent.

i got the golden honeybells about three weeks ago.

so juicy!

they make GREAT orange crushes if you are familiar with that drink.

Nope...none for us. We don't ingest sugar from any source anymore.

Mmm. They look so good. But with our local sales tax that's nearly $5 per orange. Yikes. I'll stick to the $5 bag of oranges or Cuties at the grocery store.

Re: Hale Groves TSV - February 12, 2025

Pricing is ridiculous on these, however I am curious to see the reviews.

I used to purchase the Cushman Honeybells when QVC used to have those.  I loved them for a time, but they went downhill and became a huge waste of money. They were no longer orange in color, but brownish, green, and damaged.  Not as tasty either.  Many, including myself, stopped buying them completely.  I'm assuming that's why QVC stopped offering them in the last couple of years.

I'd like to see if this brand looks and tastes anything like the presentation implies for that kind of price.

That's quite expensive for a glass of orange juice.  No thanks. Easy pass for me!

We used to look forward to them each year but they were not good the last 2 times we got them so I no longer order them.

Fruit is loaded with fiber and cancer fighting antioxidants. The fiber makes the sugar digest more slowly. Fruit is good for you as long as you keep it to a few pieces a day. Soda, bakery, and sugar added to sauces, etc is bad for you. I eat a whole food plant based diet & I'm at an ideal healthy weight. My yearly lab work is always excellent. There's no need for me to take pills for high blood pressure or cholesterol even though I'm in my later 60's. I don't understand how anyone could stay of a diet free of fruit long term. Don't you ever miss a juicy orange? I sure would!
