Why is it so inexpensive?  I always said I'd never buy another HP laptop but this is tempting.  Especially since it has MS365.

I bit the bullet and grabbed the teal.  I have a blue 17" HP  at work and love it.  Specs are different on this one but it looks good for a home computer.

Maybe as a "spare" in case your regular computer suddenly conks out?

Is the computer ''touchscreen''?  If not, it's a pass for me.

It also has only 4GB which is low. Most laptops have at least 8GB.

Re: HP TSV today

@FranandZoe

SIgh.....

From the most recent investor transcript 2-28-23 (Ticker HPQ) on earnings and sales....

"Printer sales fell 5% from a year ago. Consumer and commercial PC sales declined 36% and 18%, respectively."

You can find thier performance report by looking at HPQ stock.

PC and laptop sales went UP during Covid with increased  sales to more people working at home....now that there is more return to office, or people have already made a PC/Laptop upgrade  purchase in the last few years, sales have dropped off precipitously..

This model looks good for someone who does email and browsing...but if you needed MORE memory, it sounds like it can be easily expanded with a card. Probably not for gaming or downloading long movies and content...

Read their report to find out about their NEW offerings....computers made with outer cases made from....recycled coffee grounds!!!

You can learn SO much from every companies 'Investor Call Transcript" which, for each company on the Stock Exchange, comes out each quarter of the year as they report earnings.

Hope this explains what may drive the pricing. It may actually be too HIGH for the model shown....
