Re: GreenPan TSV - February 7, 2024

I bought a Ninja multicooker from Costco that looks similar, and I absolutely love it. These multicookers are great appliances!

Mine also has 8 functions but no grill plate and is 8.5 quart. That grill plate will sure be nice to have, and I wish mine had one. Woman Wink

Mine looks like:

(One funny thing about mine - one day I was using it and noticed that my nail polish (blue) matched it exactly. I thought it would be perfect for a hand model demonstrating one LOL)

I hope everyone buying the GreenPan TSV today loves theirs just as much! I especially like using mine to be able to sear meat before slow cooking because it saves you having to wash a separate pan. And the non-stick makes it so easy to clean up after cooking. Good luck trying all kinds of new yummy recipes! Woman Happy

Isnt it odd that they have presented this TSV so little today?

I ordered blue too!  I have an Instant Pot sitting around in the kitchen that was the worst investment ever. I never ever use it.  So that will go bye bye and this is the new toy!
Years ago (10 yrs ago)I had what was probably the 1st multi-Cooker from Wolfgang Puck, and I did use that constantly.
I hate my glass stovetop- it's impossible to get it clean, so I will use this instead,  think!

I like everything about it and not a bad price for all that it can do- Happy, easy cooking all!

I use Scrub Daddy on my glass top, years ago I bought a block of Scrub daddy, it was a great concept, you slice off the size you need with a knife, not available now at least on the Q.  A normal scrub daddy would probably work the same.

Dawn Power Scrub does a great job as well as plain old Windex.  If the burned on problem is too much I use a glass top cleaner like Wright's or that Barman's something or other.

I use ceramabryte on my glass stove top and it works great. You can get it at Home Depot and probably Amazon.

I also thought it was odd that the TSV had very few presentations today. It's usually the opposite. David said they sold 9,000 units which is very low for QVC and the last presentation was one hour into David's show. There were no TSVs placed around the kitchen for us to observe either; only when they were demonstrating it.

@Skyegirl21  I'm curious why you didn't like the insta pot? I don't have one but so many rave about them

I already have a Ninja multi-cooker so was not interested in this.  I have never understood this type of cooker as a slow cooker since, to me, a slow cooker should cook from the sides, not from the bottom.  I don't see this much different than sitting on a stove burner or portable induction cooktop.

Hi @rockygems123 ,   Thanks for the suggestions, and I use Barkeepers Secret, plus a scrubby sponge, or a knife to scrape it-

But it's so much work to get it clean. It's always several steps-  I avoid using my stovetop for these reasons!
I had another glass stovetop in another home, and it didn't take several steps to get it clean - This one is just a pain! It's a Frigidaire stove (came with the current home)- Be Well! 🥰

Hi @smoochy !  I don't use the Instant pot- You close the lid and can't tell what's happening- Its a  big mystery if dinner is going to come out right. Once I got the dreaded "burn" message, and it's all over after that.
I have tried to use it as a slow cooker, but it does not work well- Worst gadget I ever bought! I think it's going to be donated to the local thrift shop-
