Re: Galentines sweatshirt TYPO

@Tommie1965 Yep. Cincinnati was misspelled on an NFL shirt. Item A612612

And Denim & Co. misspelled Francais (French) on this shirt:

@MezzieStarr - Clearly, whoever made that blouse doesn't speak French!  Woman Very Happy

And misspelling Cincinnati on a Bengals shirt?  Where are they getting these things made?  (No need to answer that:  rhetorical question.)  Woman Frustrated

I ordered two and am keeping mine.  I don't think it was deceptive .... just a mistake that no one noticed.  I didn't look at mine that close. It's hand-written and some people have messy handwriting.

@rms1954  Ridiculous to wear something that is not spelled correctly and even more ridiculous to pay for it.  They should be giving it away.

They should have refunded everyone and not required customers to go through the time of returning. I used to like Shawn, but can't watch shows anymore with her, Mally or Ali. They finally posted my review, but the few other reviews didn't mention the typo, wow lol.

And I just noticed they had some listed in stock...trying again to sell defective shirts. Wow.

Re: Galentines sweatshirt TYPO

Knowing myself, if I liked the style and color, I'd probably keep the shirt, but would want a serious price decrease.  Maybe price the shirt at $10.

It looks as though (in the photo) the small-ish misspelled word isn't very noticeable.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Galentines sweatshirt TYPO

I've been involved in getting items (for promo) ready for production, and mistakes like this....happen..

In our case, somehow, the copywriter, designer, editor, creative director, event manager, and production manager should have noticed the fact that they spelled the name of the company wrong on the new mugs we were so excited about.

One of the sales guys was rummaging through the customer gifts closet. Saw the new boxes and grabbed the item. He found the error. I can't emphasize enough how bad it is that the sales guy found the error.

Lucky for us, We weren't in full production yet, so we were able to correct it. The mugs with the error were highly coveted.

So, yes, this stuff happens. QVC is NOT handling the situation correctly, though. (Hiding the mistake, preventing reviews.)

How does this happen? I've read that the brain fills in the information, and you see it as correct. That's why it's hard to proofread your own writing.
