Re: Files, dead skin, equals ICKY, ICKY & YUCKY too!

have purchased these before, have given them as gifts, and use them personally often. these are THE BEST things i have found for my feet in particular. so worth it! no other foot pedi  item has worked as well as these.....battery operated, rechargeable, or any other type of pumice stone/file/pedegg type of product.

i purchased two more sets today and may get two more to keep for the holidays for gifts.

these are NOT comparable to the amazon products i have tried. great price, great product. what sold me on these was shawn filing her feet maybe a year or two ago? you cannot sell these without demonstrating.

i keep a file in my purse always.

I ordered the teal set.  Hope I like them!🤞🤞🤞🤞

I love to be barefoot or as close as possible to it at all times.  I wear flip flops and sandals as often as weather permits and like to keep my feet looking good.   Last night I was thinking my micro plane file is just not doing its best job anymore.  Probably because it is getting older and needs to be replaced.

I ordered these the last time QVC had them as a TSV.  I think you will love them.  I ordered two more sets today to give as gifts.

What's wrong with using a pumice stone?  A lot cheaper I would think and does the job???

A pumice stone doesn't work nearly as well as these.  I remember when I was in high school and my grandma, who had major calluses on her feet, used to sit in front of the TV with her feet over a wastebasket and file them for at least an hour every night.  I wish these were available back in the 1970s.  She would have loved them.  These work great and so much faster than a pumice stone.

I use the Ped Egg. Also have glass files from the Czech Republic. Are these better than those from the Czech Republic?

I had glass files that were supposedly the best quality and the Spa-rific laser etched glass files work much faster and better, in my opinion.

@frenchie   On one of my feet the heel gets very sore, I get hairline and deep cracks in the heel, very painful, like the skin dries out.... I wear socks to bed with vaseline most nights, unless it is unberablly hot.

Most of my sandals have a closed heel and open toe, but I do have a few open heel sandals.

I don't know if is the way I walk or what but it is always the same heel. I have the diamond microdermabrasion tool that works well.

@Mom2Dogs - My heels used to be horribly cracked and sore. Shortly after I started getting professional pedicures my technician recommended Vicks. There is a drug store we frequent right next door, so after my appointment I went in to get some. The pharmacy tech laughed and said they have trouble keeping it in stock because of the recommendations. Then she told me she used it too, and it was great.

I started putting it on every morning with socks during the colder months. I didn't think DH would appreciate our bed smelling like Vicks! This past winter I switched to night and socks on top. DH was OK with that and the "scent" of Vicks didn't bother him!

I used to use- or try to - a pumice stone in the shower.

This routine changed my heels! Now I use Vicks every other night. I just had a pedicure last week, and she barely had to do anything to my heels.

I live in sandals in the summer. I don't like wearing shoes; I never have. Luckily my heels are fine now!  You could always try it and see what you think!   Smiley Happy

@eddyandme    Just have to chime in and share with you a product we purchased a few weeks ago on GMA deals and steals.

It is called a Scratch pad.

The name of the website is Devora     It is the BEST thing EVER!

You put treats inside it and the dogs [ or cat]   scratch at it to get the treats out.

Its incredible.  Our dogs do not like getting their nails clipped.

Now we don't have to.  Once a week we give them their scratch pad and you would

not believe how smooth they come out and they love playing with them.

Thank you @nada54 !  I'll seach Devora.  Don't know how Brody feels about getting his nails clipped as I've only had him since December but it's something I'mnot looking forward to!  How do you keep the cookie on it long enough and is it big enough to do their hind legs?  Brody's 100# and very large will it work for his size?

@beach-mom    Interesting!  I have some Vicks in our cabinet so I will give it a try.  I struggle every summer with my heel.  Finding summer shoes with a closed back is not easy.

Thank you

I prefer a diamond file. Diamonds are harder than glass and will do a better filing job than will glass....for feet

I can vouch on this diamond file followed by using Alpha Skin Care lotion, my heels never felt so smooth.

@eddyandme    They have different sizes for larger dogs.   We have 2 boxer's.

At the time of the sale they only had medium left so that is what we bought and they work just fine.

There is a slot in the middle where you put the treats,  they really have to work at it

to get them out.  So it is like a puzzle.  Its the greatest thing ever!

At the end of the night we put them away until next time.

You wouldn't believe how easy it is!

I think the girl who created them was on Shark tank before.

The website is Devora   and they are called   Scratch Squares.   Our dogs are about

80 pounds.

Re: Files, dead skin, equals ICKY, ICKY & YUCKY too!

Did anyone catch Amy using it on one of the programs later in the day?  My Lord, how were the bottoms of her feet BLACK?  Was as if she runs around the studio barefoot.  And I mean they were BLACK, sooo dirty.  She didn't say anything about it as she looked in the moniter as she was filing away, lol.
