I have this exact version and if I remember correctly you have to register with the app to get it to activate/start working. Once you do this, you are no longer required to engage with the app, unless you want to switch or customize the cleaning cycles. I've never changed mine, so I'm not sure how many variations there are. After the initial set up, it just tuens on and off via the device. Agreed it should not be this way...but...

I used to be a die hard clairsonic user and changed my brush heads regularly. I was having breakouts and did some research. It seems the brushes are bacteria havens. I switched to the Luna and definitely saw a quick improvement. I did not know there were dupes on Amazon, never thought to look. 🤨

I realized too late that the only way you can use it is with an app. Now it won't allow me to cancel the order. Even though I'm tech savvy, I don't want to bother with an app so as soon as it arrives I'm returning it.

I have a dupe I got several years ago on Amazon. The battery life is amazing, but I don't use it often since you're not supposed to use silicone with oils and I use a cleansing balm to remove makeup or at night in general. I could move it to the shower, but I like my Olay spin brush that I use there. Doesn't matter if water gets slung in the shower. Mine didn't need an app and I'm not interested in paying that kind of money for something to clean my face anyways.

Lol! Now we need to use an app to wash our face?? Let's make the item more complicated so we can then Jack up the price.. No thank you. I have a basic rechargeable cleanser like this from Big A, for $12.99.

Silicone cleansing brushes are not compatible with oil-based cleansers which includes cleansing oils and cleansing balms. If you insist on using those kinds of cleansers with your silicone brush then you need to wash the brush with soap and water after use. If you don't then the oil will breakdown the silicone skin, weaken it, eventually start to tear and bristles fall off.

@Teddixat Thank you so much! My parents and sisters are rooting for me and it feels great to have all of you rooting for me too . The pain was tremendous and I have a very high pain tolerance- for a whole week I had to take hot baths with epsom salts and reduce my weightlifting and cardio to let everything heal better. Hitting my sternum and rib cage on that plywood was really tough- I instinctively wanted to cry with how hard I hit it, but I got over the wall and kept sprinting through the obstacle course. Most of the potential recruits are 19 to early 20's and I'm going to be 35 in less than a month- i'm giving this my best shot and I'll try to get answers this week about why they said I failed if I know that I passed.
