Re: edit- I found out he TSV. ...Le Creuset Sunday

I think I caught a glimpse in the ad for Now You're Cooking day. It looked like a round, braiser-style with a grill lid. It looked cool.

If you google Lecreuset 3.5 with grill lid on videos there are several videos of possible models.  I wish they would just sell a grill pan as the TSV don't know if I really need another vessel but a grill pan would be great

Re: EDITED- The TSV is listed in my new reply...Le Creuset Sunday

I am a HUGE LeCreuset fan!  This TSV seems quite odd to me.  I own the full braiser  (both 3.5 and 5 qt) and it is one of my favorite, most used pieces.  The traditional braiser lid is meant to help the steam condense and drip the liquid back on to the food while cooking to prvent the food from drying out.  I also own a LeCreuset grill pan, which is not one of my favorites, as it is a bit difficult to clean. It is great for searing steaks and burgers.  I cannot imagine using a grill pan as a braiser lid, as it will not function as a proper braiser lid. Plus, I would not want the hassle of cleaning a grill pan when I use the braiser.   The traditional braiser lid is so easy to clean.

I have a LeCreuset Dutch oven and braiser that I rarely use.  Mine has regular lids.  I also have a separate Le Creuset small grill pan that I use occasionally.

@PommomNJ You make good points about that lid working not as well as a regular lid for the braiser and the grill difficult to clean.  I find that some Le Crueset items very hard to clean....anyway you seem to really like your braiser a lot.

Could you please share what you like to use it for?  What do you like to make using the braiser?  I need some ideas! Thanks!

@PommomNJ, , et al.

 You sound like me...I have the 3.5 & 5qt Braiser, among a few others, including two pieces I bought during their last visit- 4qt Pumpkin w/gold stem and the 7qt roaster in Sea Salt, they're beautiful❣️

I bought a Caribbean 5qt Braiser 1st; it's great for larger quantities even though it's just me and my husband and often our little grands I still use it when I want to freeze meals, and it's great for family get-togethers and holidays.

 The Meringue 3.5qt Braiser for smaller everyday items-

 breakfast-eggs, quiche, frittata, everyday meals...salmon, chicken, roast veggies, stir fry, baking...there's not much you cannot do with any Braisers.

I had a 5.5qt round Dutch a few years ago but returned it; I'm considering another if I find the 4qt Pumpkin isn't enough, however, the 5.5qt is much heavier for me, and so far,

the 4qt Pumpkin is just right......

I'm a touch Goldilocks-ish.....

actually, full-on Goldilocks👱🏻‍♀️

I love Le Creuset and would watch it every day.

Oh, I so love Le Creuset.  I will be SO tempted . . . so now I MUST check at midnight.  I already own several nice pieces purchased--of course--from Q and usually in David Venable's show . . . but the last one, recently, that had that lovely color (exclusive to QVC until maybe Feb/March?) for the awesome oval vessel sold out before I could hit the purchase button.  And I wasn't tempted by the other colors, for which my budget was glad!

Thanks for the information.

@skittles2   Hello, Neighbor!

I did a survey of my Le Creuset purchases and determined I already have a 3.5 deeper round one purchased a couple of years back, and three other LC pieces including an emerald green grill fry pan so I definitely didn't need another LC piece right now.

Best,

P.S. Nice to finally experience some slight rain which this region needed so badly.
