It seems like the price of these is coming down which is good. I still won't be buying it. I have a Bayliss pro. I really like that.

Once again thank you for posting the TSV'S.

My hair is short and wavy ... I just add some mousse for volume and let it air dry.

Re: Dyson Hair Care TSV - September 3, 2024

I am surprised it's the old supersonic, but Dyson must be desperate to clearance out this old model so they can start to push the new neural dryer.  QVC has that new model in stock, but of course it's $499.  I admit I'm curious to know if the new model is any better, but I can't justify buying one when I have a perfectly good supersonic in my bathroom closet that I almost never use.  I shower and wash my hair at night and let it air dry overnight.  I can say for sure that the Dyson gets my hair dry in half the time any other dryer I've ever owned does, but I still don't need it more than a day or two a month, since I'm retired.

For those who do order, you are getting it at around $170 less than it used to sell for, and odds are you will have it the rest of your life.  Congratulations!

Re: Dyson Hair Care TSV - September 3, 2024

We got this last year for a Christmas gift for DD. She had been wanting it for a while, and shortly before Christmas QVC had a really good OTO price.

She was really surprised and happy! She used it about 2 weeks and it started smoking. It was sold out at QVC. She called Dyson and sent it back for repair. They sent her a brand new one.

That one seems to be fine. She said the Dyson rep was really helpful and very nice.  Smiley Happy

@CamilleP   Just my own opinion, but if I was to spend this kind of money for a Dyson hair dryer, I would most definitely purchase the newer/latest model instead.

The newer one -- the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer is $499 on Dyson's website, with the same attachments as QVC's TSV.  It's more expensive because it has their latest technology, at least that's Dyson's claim:

  • Auto-adapts to enhance natural shine and protect scalp health.
  • Fast, intelligent drying. No heat damage. It changes temperature the closer it gets to your scalp.
  • Learns your go-to styling preferences.

IMO, the price is absurd.  I bought a $130, 100,000 RPM ionic dryer with adjustable heat and speed, and magnetic attachments, from Amazon for $40, and it's great.  My hair is short so it's dried and styled in no time. Plus it's lightweight and folds for packing.

My hairdresser uses a Dyson.  She loves it.  I am thinking if QVC has one closer to Christmas I might ask for one.

Anyway, I am curious.  What is that funny looking attachment that looks like a hook for?
