My Duraflame TSV lantern heater arrived late today.  Good grief, the box looks like a piano crate and it's HEAVY.  I couldn't lift it, could scarcely scoot it.  Couldn't get it in the house.  Almost dark so had to leave it outside.  Why didn't someone mention how cumbersome this thing is?  Looks like a big mistake.

@Kachina624  It is kind of heavy, but I have this, and it's GREAT! I do need help getting it from the cellar in the fall. But, I can tell you, when I come down on a freezing morning and hit the remote on this heater, it couldn't be more welcome!

I think I heard them say it weighs around 20lbs on one of the presentations and you could easily move it room to room if needed.

Maybe you could cut away the packaging to get the weight down, then just take the heater into the house.

   Wow , the description says 18.5 lbs .

 Maybe they had to  double box everything  because of the glass doors and   candle.

It clearly states the weight of the item (18.5 lbs) along with dimensions online here.

@tl98466.  That box is a heck of a lot more than 18 lbs. And beyond my wingspan in size.

 I hear ya!     Amazon is also "famous" for over-packing everything.    I've gotten HUGE boxes, with 2 other boxes inside....and loads of squashed paper stuffing, with only a small cosmetic item.

Edited to add:    I forgot to mention all the TAPE.    It has sometimes taken me a half-hour to get down to the product(!!!)
