First, I love dresses. I own many. But, I agree with @AuntG , something is off on this dress. I'm not sure if it's the model or the style, probably both. On the model it does not match the price point, the style for petites, just won't work for me.
I don't mind the material but at this price point, and the style, I would definitely not buy today and wait for reviews. If reviews rave about it then I will wait until the end of summer for the price to go down and reconsider.
(After posting I realized what the dress looks like to me. I envision Aunt B, from the Andy Griffith show, wearing this dress.)

But I never wear smocking at the waist -- dress or top. I have a DD cup size, and smocking always rides up to right under my bustline, balloons out my entire top, and billows down from there. In short, not a good look on me at all.
I noticed in one shot on Leah, the smocking rode up under her bustline as well, and she's does not look like a DD at all. Most of the time though, it stayed down at her waist.
I'm not about to keep pulling down a dress to keep the smocked waist in place. The whole purpose for me is easy dressing, and this isn't it for me.
How you described your figure in this type of dress- yep that's me too.
I looked adorable in smocked, fou fou sleeved dresses back when I was five years old. This garment would be a disaster on me.

I love dresses, but this one isn't my style. I don't care for the shape or the prints. I looked at the other dresses in this line, and none of them appeal to me either. Maybe they will have something later I like better?

I was curious so I stayed up last night to catch the TSV ....
I should have gone to bed early!

Viscose ... no !
I wore a scarf of 100% viscose, irritated my neck...another man-made cheap fabric. For summer, natural fabrics such as cotton are the best.

The dress may be okay if you're tall and slim and "young"?
I don't like the sleeves at all. Plus, at 5' 4-1/2", neither the regular NOR petite would work for me. 4" difference they say.
Edited to say I dislike the fabric choice too.
Passing and saving money again, QVC.

I love dresses, especially in the summer, this dress reminds of a dress a bought from Macy's several years ago. It had 2 tiers and I wore it out. I finally had to retire the dress lol.
I ordered the black one I like it! $56.00 for a dress is not a lot for me.

Deja vu - 40 years ago I had this same dress. Only difference was the sleeve. I loved it But don't need now.

I love dresses for summer here in Az so I ordered the blue on waitlist. I wish more info was provided for hip measurements. I ordered the petite large but I am a size medium on top so I hope it isn't too big on top. But I wear a size 16 in jeans.
